Hallo, Ich habe heute in einen Laptop ohne Festplatte eine neue SSD eingebaut und darauf versucht ein Dualbootsystem mit Ubuntu und Windows 7 einzurichten. Dazu habe ich die SSD partitioniert in einen Windows Teil und einen Ubuntuteil und swap. Dann habe ich Windows in seinen Teil installiert und Ubuntu in seinen. Sieht jetzt so aus : 1

Leider startete dann Windows direkt. Deswegen habe ich versucht GRUB 2 vollständig neu zu installieren. Und zwar mit

Daß führte dazu daß ich jetzt direkt Ubuntu startet außer ich drücke schnell ESC und dann bin ich in einem ich sag mal häßlicheren grub. Da kann ich dann "c" tippen und in der Kommandozeile dort eingeben um in einen "schöneren" Bootloader (grub) zu wechseln. So ganz genau weiß ich nicht was ich da mache aber jedenfalls kann ich in diesem dann auch neben Ubuntu Windows booten.
Meine Frage an euch wäre, ob ich diesen Weg irgendwie abkürzen könnte, also den grub der direkt startet löschen, sodaß sofort der "schönere" mit der Windowsoption auftaucht. Viele Grüße

Aber wäre es nicht evtl. die schnellste und sauberste Lösung nochmal eins oder beide Betriebssysteme neu zu installieren und diesmal mache ich es richtig. Ich weiß das ist hier verpönt aber ich könnte es ja mit wubi versuchen.

wohl kaum, zumal Du noch nicht gesagt hast, was du so alles 'getrieben' hast, wie z. B. kommt denn da ein grub-legacy hin, wenn Du doch ein Trusty Thar benutzt! Und was meinst Du mit bin ich in einem ich sag mal häßlicheren grub
... um in einen "schöneren" Bootloader (grub) zu wechseln...
grub_2 und grub-legacy unterscheiden sich schon deutlich, allerdings, wenn Du nichts veränderst/verschönerst, sind beide im Textmodus (ob das nun häßlich ist, sei dahingestellt, allemal erfüllen sie ihren Zweck: O/S laden).
Ich weiß das ist hier verpönt aber ich könnte es ja mit wubi versuchen.
was willst Du denn mit WUBI, da ist nicht verpönt, sondern schlicht eine Variante, die hier niemand ernsthaft als (Produktiv9System betreibt, weil es auf einer 'falschen' Dateisystembasis vegetieren muß, außerdem hilft Dir das bei Deinem "Problem" ganz und gar nicht! Du könntest

bist Du dann auf alle Fälle erst mal den grub-legacy (? Dein "schöneres" Menü) los wenn Du den Link gelesen hättest (grub_2 ersetzen), dann hättest Du gesehen, daß da mal gerade zwei Befehle auszuführen sind, das dauert keine Minute. Danach ist grub-legacy der, der vom BIOS startet. Btw., Du hast meine Fragen nicht beantwortet, möglicherweise erzähle ich hier darausfolgend 'Unsinn'! Also bitte! kannst Du (auch wieder siehe Link) grub_2 noch viel umfangreicher aufhüschen (bleibt die Frage, wozu, der soll doch nur Laden, dazu verschwindet doch gleich wieder alles, was da aufwendig - und fehleranfällig - zusammengebastelt wird).
...Bleibt da etwas vom alten BS übrig ?

So, wie es aussieht, hast du Grub Legacy (den alten Grub) im MBR installiert. Wie und warum, keine Ahnung. Dann hast du noch Grub 2 auf deiner sda6. Auch hier keine Ahnung, was du gebastelt hast. Meiner Meinung nach am einfachsten und schnellsten ist eine Neuinstallation OHNE WUBI! Von 1000 Usern hier rät dir vielleicht 1 zu WUBI. Vor der Installation sicherst du selbstverständlich alle deine Daten extern. Bei der Neuinstallation wählst du "Etwas Anderes" und löschst sda3 komplett und erstellst eine neue erweiterte Partition. Die Win-Partitionen lässt du unberührt. In der erweiterten Partition legst du an
eine 3-4 GB grosse Swap an (Dateiformat: swap) 10-15 GB für / (10 GB reichen in der Regel für Root, Dateiformat: ext4) den Rest für /home (Dateiformat: ext4)
Zum Nachlesen ⇒ Ubuntu Installation Nach dem Anlegen der Partitionen lässt du den Installer einfach machen. Der installiert dann auch den Bootloader (Grub 2) in den MBR. Bei Fragen schaust du erstmal im Wiki nach und dann bei Unsicherheit kannst du hier immer noch Fragen stellen. Die Installation von Ubuntu ist keine Hexerei.

Ich bin nun Gerry Ghettos Anleitung gefolgt und habe Ubuntu neuinstalliert, wobei das in soweit nicht funktionierte, daß man während der Installation keine erweiterte Partition erstellen kann, sondern daß mit gparted machen muss, falls ich das richtig gesehen habe. Ich dachte dann ich erstelle gleich unter gparted die swap-Partition. Doch daß führte dazu daß ich wieder kein swap hatte. Gott sei Dank konnte ich mit der Anleitung hier Swap mir doch einen einrichten, beziehungsweise Ubuntu übereden meine schon angelegte Partition zu verwenden. Die /home und / -Partition konnte ich nur während der Installation erstellen, da es nur da die Option gibt dieses "/" und "/home" auszuwählen. Das hat dann Ubuntu soweit auch "gefressen" , jedoch ist komischerweise nur "/home" in dieser erweiterten Partition mit der swap Datei und "/" auf der gleichen Ebene wie Windows oder eben diese erweiterte Partition. Zumindest sehe ich das bei "Laufwerke" so. Das scheint jedoch kein Problem zu sein also bin ich soweit mit allem zufrieden und will das Problem als gelöst betrachten.
