Anfang Oktober habe ich Windows von meinem Notebook durch Ubuntu ersetzt. Von Anfang an hatte ich Probleme mit der/den Grafikkarten. Nach vielem Lesen und Trial and Error Probiererei dachte ich, warte mal auf 14.10, da soll ja der aktuellste NVIDIA-Treiber dabei sein, dann wirds vielleicht, nee, tuts nicht 😢 | 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Intel Corporation 3rd Gen Core processor Graphics Controller [8086:0166] (rev 09)

Aktiver Treiber ist im Moment NVIDIA 331.89 (..getestet). Kann mit bitte jemand helfen die korrekten Treiber und Einstellungen zu installieren/finden!?

Willkommen!
Aktiver Treiber ist im Moment NVIDIA 331.89 (..getestet).
Davon ist in deiner Ausgabe nichts zu sehen, also läuft der wohl nicht, sondern nur ein Notfalltreiber? cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log
hatte ich Probleme mit der/den Grafikkarten.

Also die GUI läuft (sonst wäre dieser Beitrag auch nicht hier 😀 ) allerdings kann ich keinerlei Einstellungen bzgl Farbtiefe etc.machen und die NVIDIA-GPU arbeitet nicht, was ja leicht an der moderaten Temperatur des Rechners zu erkennen ist. Da ich zukünftig mit Blender arbeiten möchte wäre es mir schon recht, wenn alles korrekt/optimal eingerichtet ist, irgenwas ist da ja wohl faul. Vielleicht hab ich ja mit meiner Rumprobiererei was getilt.

und die NVIDIA-GPU arbeitet nicht
Dann hättest du kein Bild, es sei denn, es läuft die Intel. Ich schau mir gern die Teile mit EE (Errors) an, aber die Grafikexperten wollen alles sehn. 😉 Mir fällt auf den ersten Blick nicht viel auf. Hast du nach der Anleitung Hybrid-Grafikkarten/Bumblebee installiert? Check nochmal alles oder stell die Configs hier ein. Im BIOS sind beide Karten aktiviert?

Du hast einen Bumblebee-Report hochgeladen - ich hab jetzt nicht reingeguckt, aber du solltest Anwendungen auf der Nvidia starten können: optirun blender Wenn du alles auf der Nvidia laufen lassen möchtest (bringt mehr Performance, allerdings auch Tearing), deinstallierst du bumblebee und installierst nvidia-prime.

Ist auch eher selten. Eben fällt mir nur die Holzhammermethode ein, alles einmal runterschmeißen und wieder installieren: sudo apt-get remove --purge nvidia-3* nvidia-1* nvidia-340 nvidia-prime bumblebee bumblebee-nvidia primus

Prima, das hat alles funktioniert 👍 . Blender startet jetzt mit optirun ohne Fehlermeldung. Von Windows kenne ich allerdings das Phänomen dass nach starten eines z.B. Spiels der Lüfter (der GPU?) hochfährt und in kürzester Zeit der Rechner ziemlich warm wird (passiert bei Blender nicht!?). Und wie kann ich die Unity-3D Effekte nutzen?? Ich weiß, Fragen über Fragen 😳

Naja, Blender ist gar nicht sooo anspruchsvoll an die Grafikkarte, natürlich je nachdem was man macht. Und wie kann ich die Unity-3D Effekte nutzen??
Dafür gibt es ein Tool namens Compiz CCSM Ich weiß, Fragen über Fragen 😳

NA KLASSE!!!!! 😢 Ich hab mir mein System zerschossen! Das hier schreibe ich von der Live-CD aus. Nach der Eingabe des Passwortes sehe ich das Hintergrundbild und dann geht nix mehr ☹ HIILFE!!! Ich dachte ich bin schlau und sichere mir meine Daten via Live-CD auf ne externe Festplatte, was aber nicht geht, da ich keine Berechtigung habe. Oh Mann!! Kann man Ubuntu "reparieren", so dass die vorhandenen Daten erhalten bleiben?

Ich habe jetzt einen Reset nach Deiner Anleitung gemacht, mit dem Ergebnis, dass immer noch kein Panel und Startmenue zu sehen ist. Der Weg über den Compiz-Manager geht gar nicht, da sich das Unity-Plugin nicht aktivieren lässt. Hat noch jemand ne Idee?

Ich habe beide Wege probiert. Zuerst Compiz zurücksetzen, nachdem das zu keinem positiven Ergebnis geführt hat habe ich den Reset gemacht (nach Anleitung). Ich habe mir jetzt einen 2ten User angelegt, den ich genauso eingerichtet habe wie den ersten (ausser der Probiererei mit Compiz). Jetzt kann ich wenigstens wieder alles nutzen. Von Compiz lass ich jetzt erstmal die Finger weg. Vielleicht probier ich bei Gelegenheit mit diesem User mal Unity 8 aus. Danke für Eure Hilfe, ich hab Einiges dazu gelernt.
