Hallo! Ich habe mir zu Weihnachten ein neues Notebook (Lenovo G50-70) gekauft und es läuft auch soweit zufriedenstellend - jedenfalls funktioniert nahezu alles. Allerdings habe ich mit der integrierten Kombikarte RTL8723BE so meine Probleme. WLAN konnte ich bislang nicht richtig testen, da ich bei meiner Freundin bin und wir hier kein wirkliches WLAN haben, da der Router sehr weit weg steht und es dank LTE (15 GB Volumen) auch massiv gedrosselt ist... Naja, ich habe auch schon bei der Google-Suche gefunden, dass WLAN bei diesem Chipsatz mit Ubuntu ziemlich buggy sein soll, also werde ich das Thema hier später, wenn ich das wirklich testen kann, wahrscheinlich noch um weitere Informationen ergänzen. Jedenfalls wollte ich heute Bluetooth in Betrieb nehmen, um mein Bluetooth-Headset zum Musikhören zu verwenden, allerdings findet das Bluetooth-Programm keine Geräte. Erkannt wird es; aktiviert ist es und sichtbar ist es auch. Es erkennt weder mein Bluetooth-Headset, noch mein Android-Smartphone. Beide sind sichtbar. Mit meinem Android-Smartphone kann ich mein Bluetooth-Headset problemlos benutzen, jedoch erkennt es meinen Laptop ebenfalls nicht. Hier mal ein paar Angaben. Nachtrag: Ich habe Ubuntu mit Unity-Oberfläche erst gestern frisch aufgesetzt auf diesem Gerät und habe heute testweise, in der Hoffnung dass das Problem damit erledigt ist, den Utopic Unicorn-Kernel aus den Quellen installiert:

Hallo Germane91, Zu deinem WLAN gibt es hier im Forum genug Lösungsansätze. BT musst du mal bitte unter Windows nachsehen vom welchem Hersteller der Chipsatz ist mit ID Kennung. Wahrscheinlich ist eine Nutzung des Mainline Kernel notwendig .... Gruss Lidux

Ok, dann geht das auch erst in einer Woche, weil ich hier kein Windows habe. Das Gerät wurde mit FreeDOS (zumindest einem absolut rudimentären) ausgeliefert und ich muss dann zuhause erst mal Windows als Zweitsystem aufsetzen.

Lenovo hat recht wenig Informationen mitgeliefert - lediglich die Kundenhotline, Treiber-DVD (für Windows 8.1) und ein Faltblatt, wie man den Akku einsetzt und das Netzkabel verbindet, waren dabei. Wirklich wichtige Informationen zur eingebauten Hardware sucht man allerdings vergeblich.

Kleines Update: Die Probleme mit WLAN haben sich nun erledigt, nachdem ich diese Anleitung von elektronenblitz63 benutzt habe. Vielen Dank dafür, jedoch ein kleiner Hinweis: Die Entwicklung wurde inzwischen von hier nach hier verschoben. Mit dem WLAN hier läuft das soweit. Bleibt nur noch das Problem mit Bluetooth, welches durch den Treiber offensichtlich nicht abgedeckt wird. Habt ihr dazu noch ein paar Hinweise, was man tun kann? Es kann sich dabei nur um folgendes handeln: | Bus 002 Device 006: ID 0bda:b728 Realtek Semiconductor Corp.

Hallo,
normalerweise muss man den Treiber nicht manuell installieren, dieser ist ja im 3.13er Kernel enthalten und funktioniert auch. Allerdings sind meist ein paar Modulparameter und Systemeinstellungen erforderlich. Zu BT ist mir nichts näheres bekannt. Erweiterte Geräteinformationen auslesen:
lsusb -vvd 0bda:b728 Das Modul btusb „kennt“ die Geräte-ID zudem nicht. Probeweise mal zuordnen
echo 'install btusb /sbin/modprobe --ignore-install btusb; /bin/echo "0bda b728" > /sys/bus/usb/drivers/btusb/new_id' | sudo tee /etc/modprobe.d/btusb.conf
Testen:
sudo modprobe -rfv btusb
sudo modprobe -v btusb
sudo service bluetooth restart
hciconfig --all

david@david-ubuntu:~$ elektronenblitz63: seitdem ich den Treiber manuell kompiliert und installiert habe, funktioniert WLAN einwandfrei. Bislang seit einigen Stunden ohne Probleme. Mit dem im Kernel enthaltenen Modul seltsamerweise nicht. Mit dem im Kernel enthaltenen Modul war es nach einiger Zeit nicht mal möglich sich mit dem ca. 30 cm entfernt liegenden Smartphone-WLAN-Hotspot eine Verbindung aufzubauen... Nun funktioniert sowohl die Verbindung mit dem recht weit entfernten WLAN-Router, als auch mit dem Smartphone. Ausgabe lsusb:

Vermutlich wäre es sinnvoll zu BT einen neuen Fehlerreport auf Launchpad zu erstellen. Werden bei einem manuellen Scan andere Geräte gefunden?
hcitool scan Die Anleitung zur Installation des WLAN-Treibers hatte ich eigentlich schon abgehakt, da das Modul ja im Kernel enthalten ist. Das hier geschilderte Problem ist meines Wissens so noch nicht aufgetaucht. Aber gut zu wissen. BT hat einer der anderen betroffenen User anscheinend noch nicht benötigt.

Nun, ich habe hier nur 2 Geräte: Ein Bluetooth-Headset und mein Smartphone. Beide verbinden sich problemlos miteinander. Das Smartphone findet das Headset nach dem Anschalten automatisch und verbindet sich damit. Das Notebook findet jedoch überhaupt keine Geräte. Weder das Smartphone (wenn ich es auf sichtbar gestellt habe), noch das Headset. Auch das Smartphone findet mein Notebook nicht, selbst wenn es auf sichtbar gestellt wurde. Ich werde wohl die nächsten Tage mal bei Launchpad vorbeischauen. Vermutlich schon morgen, wenn ich Zeit habe. Vielen Dank jedenfalls für die Hilfe! Nachtrag: Offenbar ist der Bug mit rtl8723be-Karten schon bekannt und bei Launchpad gemeldet. Die Nutzer, die dort kommentiert haben, scheinen ebenfalls Bluetooth nicht zum Laufen zu bekommen und der Bug ist offenbar upstream.
