Nur zum Verständnis: Im Moment läuft ubuntu auf sdb. Wenn ich manjaro auf die andere Platte -sda- installiere, dann soll ich die ubuntu-HD abklemmen, damit anschließend die Einstellungen von ubuntu aktiv sind. Dann unter ubuntu mit sudo update-grub die Installation von manjaro einbinden?
Nachtrag: Ich habe die ubuntu-Festplatte getrennt und nur die SSD angeschlossen gehabt, als ich manjaro installiert habe. Anschließend habe ich diese getrennt und versucht mit der ubuntu-HD zu booten. Es erschien nur ein blinkender cursor oben links.
Dann habe ich wieder die SSD alleine angesteckt und gestartet und es bootete manjaro. Dort habe ich 'sudo update-grub' eingegeben nachdem ich bei laufendem Rechner die ubuntuHD wieder angeschlossen hatte. Das kam als Ergebnis:

Mit dem Ergebnis der beiden Abfragen im Terminal kann ich als Laie nicht wirklich etwas anfangen.
Die Zwischenfrage die ich mir im Moment stelle:
1) Wie bekomme ich ubuntu wieder gestartet?

Nach einem Neustart mit allen Platten bekam ich unter manjaro die ubuntu-Festplatte angezeigt und nachdem ich sie entsperrt hatte und noch einmal 'sudo update-grub' eingegeben hatte bekam ich folgende Meldung:

Nun kann ich wenigstens auch als Laie sehen, dass der Rechner 14.04 erkannt hat. ☺
Nachtrag die Dritte
Nach einem weiteren Neustart habe ich jetzt wieder die Auswahl zwischen zwei Betriebssystemen und beide Platten sind verschlüsselt. Das Ziel ist somit erreicht.
