ich versuche meine Sensoren auszulesen.

Das gelingt mir nicht.

Im Bios finde ich div. Sensoren bzw deren Anzeige.

Deshalb gehe ich davon aus , das mein PC / Board entsprechende Sensoren hat.

Ich habe detect laufen lassen.

Some systems (mainly servers) implement IPMI, a set of common interfaces
through which system health data may be retrieved, amongst other things.
We first try to get the information from SMBIOS. If we don't find it
there, we have to read from arbitrary I/O ports to probe for such

Prozessor: AMD Sempron 3000+ Athlon XP/MP Barton,

GraKA Gforce FX5200, GraKa hat keine sensor soweit ich weiss.

Mich interessiert v.a. die CPU Temp.

Auch Hardinfo listet nur den Festplatten sensor.

Kann es sein, dass ubuntu keinen Zugriff auf die Sensoren hat, die ich im BIOS sehen kann?

Probiers vielleicht mal mit dem Paket lm-sensors

Das ist leider so, lmsensors unterstützt sehr alte oder sehr neue MBs nicht immer. Der Befehl "sensors" sagt also nichts?

Du kannst deine Temps auch beobachten, indem du den PC eine zeitlang im Bios stehen läßt. Im Bios greifen keine Energiesparfunktionen. Der Sempron ist in dieser Hinsicht eh ungünstig. Halt mal einen Strommesser an dein Gerät.

Vergleich diese Zahlen mit den Werten im Bios. Die Werte im Bios stimmen - sollten sie jedenfalls.

56 Grad ist vermutlich die CPU, das ist realistisch. 40 Grad für die Umgebung erscheint mir etwas hoch. Kann aber an der Lage der Sensoren oder am Gehäuse liegen, bzw. der mangelnden Belüftung. Gehe davon aus, daß du im Idle bist.

Die 8880 Touren für den CPU Lüfter sind nicht korrekt.

Die CPU Temperatur kann man meist einfach und zuverlässig über

cat /sys/class/thermal/thermal_zone0/temp

(neu) oder

cat /proc/acpi/thermal_zone/THM0/temperature

(alt) auslesen.
