Hallo,
ich habe auch einen Stick mit Realtek 8192cu Chipset: TP-Link TL-WN8200ND. Benutze Ubuntu 12.04. Ich benutze Linux schon ein Weilchen, bin aber totaler Anfänger, wenn es um solche etwas schwierigeren Dinge wie manuelle WLAN-Treiber Installation geht. Ich habe auch ein paar Tage mit der Treiberinstallation rumprobiert (nach diversen Anleitungen aus dem Netz) - leider alles erfolglos. Ich hatte mir auch etas "zerschossen" (keine Wired Connection mehr erkannt!), aber danach vor der Installation hier das System wieder per Image zurückgespielt. Es war also alles "sauber" vor der Installation.
Trotz der tollen und detaillierten Hifestellung krieg ich den Stick nicht zum Laufen! Er blinkt nicht mal, und dementsprechend werden auch keine WLAN-Verbindungen angezeigt.
Da der Erst-Poster schon einiges im Vorfeld rumprobiert und angeblich "zerschossen" hatte, habe ich die Installation einfach so gemacht, wie unter Rainers Anleitung vom 13.01.13 "Installation des z.Z. aktuelle Treibers für rtl8188cu/rt8192cu Chipsatz basierende USB WLAN-Karten bzw. Sticks." erklärt. Das läuft alles ohne Fehlermeldungen durch, soweit ich das beurteilen kann.
Trotzdem kein WLAN.

Aber bei der allgemeinen WLAN-Anleitung hier im Wiki steht ja, man kann mit lsusb sehen, ob der Stick erkannt wird: Er wird nicht erkannt. Diverse Neustarts habe ich natürlich gemacht.

Ich habe das Gefühl, als wenn der Treiber installiert ist, aber das Gerät einfach trotzdem nicht erkannt wird. Ich vermute, ich habe irgendwas ganz Banales vergessen...
Sollte Ubuntu die Hardware einfach erkennen nach Installation des Treibers, oder muss ich erst noch irgendwas einrichten? Ich habe wirklich keine Idee mehr, was ich jetzt noch machen kann.
