ich habe ein Problem mit einem frisch installierten Ubuntustudio. Jack will nicht so wie ich will. Er startet nicht oder stürzt sofort wieder ab.

Laut „man jack“ ist dieser Treiber nicht möglich. Eventuell willst du ALSA benutzen und darüber Firewire. Das hieße dann aber etwa so:

jackd -dalsa -dfirewire -p1024 -r96000

Wofür soll „-n“ sein?

Obiger String wird wahrscheinlich auch nicht funktionieren, da ALSA kein firewire Device initialisieren kann. Poste mal bitte die Ausgabe von:

Das Ziel ist es an den Rechner ein Firewire Interface Focusrite Saffire PRO24 anzuschließen. Dazu brauch ich halt den FFADO/Firewire-Treiber. An einem anderen Rechner läuft das auch schon. Die interne Soundkarte brauch ich da doch eigentlich gar nicht oder?

Was mir eben gar nicht gefällt ist, dass ich Ubuntustudio ganz frisch installiert hab (was ja diese ganzen JACK und FFADO schon mitbringt) und es läuft trotzdem nicht, warum auch immer.

Kann es sein, dass meine Firewire Karte nicht kompatibel ist? Ist eine inLine PCI Firewire Karte Und da steht eigentlich sogar auf der Verpackung dass die Linuxkompatibel ist.

Ich habe aber auch immer wieder total Systemabstürze. Also einfach aus und nix weiter. Kann es sein, dass es in einem größeren Rahmen Fehler gibt?

Benutze ein 64 Bit System, habs auch schon mit 32 Bit versucht, waren die gleichen Fehler.

Das hat gar nichts mit der internen Soundkarte zu tun.

Ok was soll das dann anzeigen? Ich habe grade keinen Zugriff auf den Rechner, aber sobald es geht poste ich da mal die Ausgabe

1. ffado ist ein externes Modul, und ist deswegen nicht in den Jack manpages drin. es stellt den jack "treiber" -dfirewire, und dokumentiert ihn glaube ich selbst.

2. /proc/asound/cards hat nix mit ffado/firewire zu tun. noch nicht....

3. jackd -dfirewire -p1024 -r96000 -n

hast du hinter den "-n" die zahl der Puffer angegeben, oder ist der Befehl durch copy & paste abgeschnitten? "-n2" oder "-n3" wären da gute Ideen.

Ok, das Modul kannte ich nicht. Ich dachte, das wäre eine externe Soundkarte die ganz normal über ALSA erkannt und angesprochen werden muss.
