Hallo,

ich möchte einen externen Monitor über HDMI an ein Notebook mit ATI Mobility Radeon 4200 HD anschließen, Auflösung 1920x1080.

Es soll jeweils nur ein Display genutzt werden, entwerder Notebook oder Monitor.

Wenn ich den Monitor bei laufendem Notebook anschließe wird er erkannt, aber die falsche Auflösung wird gewählt und die korrekte lässt sich nicht einstellen.

xrandr --query liefert dabei

Die 1080p Auflösung wie im Wiki beschrieben hinzufügen funktioniert nicht, bei xrandr --addmode bekomme ich

Wenn ich das System aber mit eingestecktem Monitor neu starte scheint alles zu funktionieren und ich bekommen für xrandr --query

die 1080p Auflösung lässt sich auch ohne Probleme einstellen.

Wenn ich den Monitor bei ausgeschalteten Rechner anstecke und dann hochfahre bekomme ich das gleiche Problem wie beim Einstecken des Monitors im Betrieb.

Wo könnte die Ursache für dieses Problem liegen?
