Guten Abend!
Bin schon seit fast einem Jahrzehnt Linuxer. Für den Server Einsatz zumindest. Auf den Desktop bin ich nach 1-2 Jahren wieder auf Windows umgezogen - einfach wegen der "kompitabilität zu anderen Menschen" (wegen EDVs wie MS Office, Outlook, AD etc)
Nun, hab ich seit einer Woche - nach langer abstinenz - Ubuntu im Einsatz (als Wiedereinstieg). Früher Arch, Debian, Gentoo immer in wechsel.
Ich muss euch erstmal als Ubuntucommunity loben - nicht falsch verstehen - und speziell die Entwickler von Ubuntu. Echt top OS geworden, und inzwischen echt einfach einzusetzen. Jedoch hat sich auch rausgestellt das mein Wissen von damals total out-of-date ist (was mich auch ab und an zu weißglut brachte wieso dies oder das geändert wurde, oder konfigs aufeinmal ganz anders geschrieben werden etc 😀)
Inzwischen bin ich wieder relativ fit. Die absolute Basics sind gott sei dank noch wie damals gleich geblieben. Habe schon fast Heimatgefühle bekommen als das erste mal wieder ein Gnome-terminal auftauchte (was ich auch vermisse bzw traurig finde → kein Gnome mehr!)

Kommen wir zu meinem Problem:
Minecraft möchte einfach nicht starten.

Ich geh mal davon aus dass das der Fehler ist: OpenGL: ~~ERROR~~ RuntimeException: No OpenGL context found in the current thread.

Also wie es scheint, läuft Ubuntu einwandfrei mit den NVIDIA 331.113 Treiber. Andere Spiele (OpenTTD, Counter Strike, Anno 2070) laufen einwandfrei ohne gravierende Leistungseinbußen (verglichen gegenüber nativ windows).
Jetzt weiß ich nicht mehr weiter, und bitte um hilfe! ☺
EDIT: Achja, fast vergessen. Es handelt sich um ein Notebook. Und zwar von MEDION P-6638 mit "zwei Grafikkarten". Eine Intel und eine NVIDIA GT635M.
Das Notebook nutze ich nicht wirklich als Notebook. Eher mehr als Desktop. Daran ist ein FULL HD TFT angeschlossen. Es war mir nur wichtig das Notebook schnell einpacken zu können um irgendwohin mitnehmen zu können wo auch strom existiert ☺
Also wenn dass das Problem sein sollte (oder ein Teil dessen), also dass das Ding zwei Grafikkarten hat, dann hätte ich nichts gegen ein Lösungsvorschlag das die Intelkarte deaktiviert. Akkulaufzeit ist mir absolut nicht wichtig (ist eh keiner eingelegt).
