Hallo zusammen, ich bin aktuell wieder mit meinem Latein am Ende. Ich hatte von 2008 bis 2013 einen iMac stehen. Graka kaputt, Apple aht mit ihrem Über-Nacht-Test dann den Monitor vollends zerstört. So nun hatte ich von denen meine Platte mit dem HFS+ Dateisystem drauf bekommen. Ein Jahr später hab ich nun ubuntu auf meinem neuen Rechner installiert und überall les ich, dass es einfach wäre mit ubuntu auf diese hfs+ partition zuzugreifen. Aaaalso die Platte wird automatisch gemounted als "Macintosh HD" unter /media/Plauze/ Ich habe hfsprogs, hfsutils hfsplus und libhfsp0 installiert. Laut ubuntusuers habe ich meinen damaligen Account unter MacOS in ubuntu neu erstellt. Also acc "Plauze" und ihm die UID #501 gegeben. Die Platte erkennt auch nun wenn ich in der Dateistruktur bin mich also "me" als owner der Datei. Immerhin. So nun gehe ich in die Platte rein, Macintosh HD/User/Plauze/pictures/iPhoto Library ... und der ganze ärger geht los... Wenn ich da drinnen Ordner über nautilus auf eine USB platte kopieren möchte, macht er das teilweise schnell und dann bricht er ab.... Ich habe irgendwo gelesen, dass Ubuntu doch mal mit den Rechten durcheinander kommt... ist das so? Könnt Ihr mir bitte sagen was ich eingeben soll um eine totsichere Variante zum runterkopieren meiner Bilder zu bekommen? Ich hab jetzt noch bei hfsutils den "hcopy" befehl gesehen... Hilft der? Willkommen! Probier doch den Copybefehl, lies dessen man. Aber zur Analyse des Abbruches solltest du es nochmal abbrechen lassen und dann hier nachsehen:

Gute Frage, checke erst mal die Platte, um rauszufinden, ob es an der Platte oder dem Dateisystem(treiber) liegt:
sudo apt-get install --no-install-recommends smartmontools
sudo smartctl -t short /dev/sdb
# Nun mindestens 3 min warten!
sudo smartctl -a /dev/sdb
Ergebnis des letzten Befehls bitte in Codeblock ins Forum kopieren.

ATA Error Count: 217 (device log contains only the most recent five errors)
Über 500 nicht mehr lesbare Sektoren (daher auch deine Zugriffsprobleme!), 217 Fehler im extra ausgewiesenen Log. Die Platte ist hin. Sichern mit gddrescue, falls du keine Datensicherung hast. Hast zwei Möglichkeiten:
zuerst wichtigste Dateien manuell sichern (schnell), dann erst stundenlang das Image der ganzen Platte (dabei kann sie bereits sterben) oder gleich das Image anwerfen (ggf. parallel noch die 2-3 wichtigsten Dateien manuell retten, wenn sie klein sind und die Platte nicht zu sehr belasten)
Platte natürlich ersetzen. Grüße, Benno

Danke Dir erstmal Benno. Ich werd gddrescue probieren... Hilft auch GParted mit "attempt data rescue"? Sorry, dass ich so spät erst geschrieben hab. Aber nach Deiner Meldung war ich erstmal baff. ☹

Keine Ahnung, daher evtl. falsch, gefährlich und gddrescue ist sehr gut passend. Für solche Fälle quasi alternativlos.
