Hallo,

ich habe das Gefühl mein System startet immer langsamer. Ich nutze seit ca. zwei Jahren die gleiche Installation (natürlich mit Updates und Upgrades) und früher ging der Start schneller.

Es dauert mittlerweile fast drei Minuten.

Ich teile den Start mal in drei Phasen ein: Als erstes kommt ja die Phase, wo der Balken unter dem Kubuntu-Schriftzug hin u. her läuft. Wenn ich hier mit ALT-F1 in den "Textmodus" wechsele, sehe ich, dass nichts passiert. Oben steht, welcher Kernel gewählt wurde, noch ein paar Infos zum Kernel glaube ich und darunter "Loading, please wait...". Dauert ca. 30 sek. wobei der Balken teilweise lange stehenbleibt aber nichts ersichtliches passiert.

Dann kommt die Phase wo sich der Balken von links nach rechts aufbaut, das passiert dann auch im Textmodus etwas (Hardware laden usw.). Es fängt an mit: "* Reading files needed to boot" Dauer: ca. 45-50sek.

Nach dem Anmelden im Displaymanager dauert es auch nochmal eine Weile, aber das ist wohl die Schuld von KDE. Viell. kann man aber auch hier was machen. Dauer ca. 75 sek.

Nach dem Systemstart ist dann nach kurzer Zeit manchmal (viell. jedes 10. Mal) die Platte ordentlich am arbeiten. Ich habe noch nicht rausfinden können, woran das liegt.

Ich habe leider keine Ahnung wo ich anfangen soll. Warum dauert es z,.B. in der ersten Phase so lang.

Meine Systeminstallation (root Partition) ist mittlerweile auch auf knapp 10 GB angewachsen, ich kann aber auch hier keinen wirklich großen Brocken finden.

Kann man irgendwie mit einem Tool den Systemstart tracen? Ich kann nach dem Start noch nicht mal im Textmodus hochscrollen. Das geht doch irgendwie, mit Umsch+Bild hoch oder?

readahead (boot)

preload (applications)

bei readahead muss man in grub per profile den bootvorgang scannen lassen. preload installiert man einfach und wundert sich... 😉
