Hallo, ich habe nach Problemen mit einer TP-Link TL-WN310G die Karte durch eine TP-Link TL-WN811N ersetzt. Nun habe ich auch mit dieser Karte Probleme, allerdings anderer Art. Es geschieht immer wieder und in der Regel kurzzeitig, dass das System einfriert und nach etwas Zeit dann wieder benutzbar wird. Diese Probleme traten mit Ubuntu Lucid 10.04 LTS mit dem Lucid-Kernel auch mit den Backport-Modulen auf und auch mit den zurückportierten Kerneln von Maverick 10.10 und Natty 11.04 auf. Ich habe dann die Karte an einem Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo M 7400 mit Natty 11.04 getestet. An diesem Gerät treten derartige Freezes nicht auf. Daraufhin habe ich dann auf dem ASUS L3000E/T eine Neuinstallation mit Natty 11.04 vorgenommen. Leider friert hier das System wieder bzw. immernoch kurzzeitig ein. Wenn man übrigens die WLAN-Karte heraus nimmt, wenn das System einfroren ist, wird das System wieder benutzbar. Ich habe auch die Logfiles kern.log und syslog angesehen und dort tritt nach nem Freeze eine Zeile mit psmouse.c auf.

Handelt sich in diesem Fall um einen Hardwaredefekt oder um ein Kernelproblem bzgl. dieser bestimmten Hardwarekonfiguration?

versuche einen Modulparameter für den Treiber:

sudo modprobe -rf ath9k
sudo modprobe -v ath9k nohwcrypt=1
sudo service network-manager restart

Klappt das, dann permanent machen:

echo "options ath9k nohwcrypt=1" | sudo tee /etc/modprobe.d/ath9k.conf

Unter 11.04 heisst das Paket der Backportmodule anders, siehe Wiki-Artikel. Am GraKa-Treiber kanns nicht liegen?!

Bringt leider auch nichts. Wenn ich den Treiber entlade und dann neu lade friert das System wieder sofort kurzeitig ein.

Wieso sollte es am Graka-Treiber liegen? Wenn ich die WLAN-Karte entferne wird das System wieder benutzbar. Meinst du, dass der Graka-Treiber sich nicht mit dem WLAN-Treiber verträgt?

prüfe mal die Interruptbelegung und das Kernel-Log. Das ist sehr wahrscheinlich kein Treiberproblem.

zunächst würde ich den erweiterten Interrupt-Controller aktivieren, möglicherweise hilft das bereits ...

Siehe Booten und trage den Startbefehl lapic in das Grub 2 Startmenü ein.

In der /etc/default/grub sollte folgender Eintrag schon vorhanden sein. Um den genannten Befehl ergänzen.

Aktualisieren ...

und neu starten. Wie gehabt testen und erneut die IRQ-Belegung überprüfen.

Ansonsten könnte man noch den momentan verwendeten IRQ 9 und 5 über die /etc/pcmcia/config.opts sperren. IRQ 5,9 wird durch die Grafikkarte und yenta-Socket (PCMCIA) belegt. Zusätzlich könnte man die Parallel-Schnittstelle deaktivieren, diese wird vermutlich nicht benötigt. IRQ 10 ist frei.

abgeändert. Das System ist danach aber immernoch eingefroren.

Daraufhin habe ich dann in der /etc/pcmcia/config.opts die entsprechenden IRQs gesperrt:

exclude irq 9
exclude irq 5
exclude irq 10

So wie es jetzt aussieht, sind die Freezes damit verschwunden. Mal sehen, ob das über einen längeren Zeitraum auch noch stimmt.

IRQ 10 wurde nicht durch ein anderes Gerät belegt, muss also auch nicht gesperrt werden.

Prüfe zur Sicherheit erneut den Zustand und auf Fehler mit den zuvor gezeigten Abfragen des Kenel-Logs und der IRQ-Tabelle.

Sofern vorhanden und nicht verwendet, könnte man die parallele und die seriellen Schnittstellen im BIOS abschalten, um weitere Ressourcen freizugeben.

Das System friert leider immernoch ein. Es kommt auch vor, dass der Bootvorgang einfriert und sobald man die WLAN-Karte aus dem Slot zieht geht das Booten weiter.

Durch was könnte das noch verursacht werden bzw. wie kann ich das Problem besser eingrenzen?

Warum hat sich bei IRQ 5 und IRQ 9 nichts geändert, obwohl diese excludiert sind?

Das System verwendet weiterhin ausschließlich PIC-Interrupts.

Versuche folgende Startparameter (ro und vt.handoff=7 ist doppelt und kann entfernt werden)

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash"
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="lapic pci=acpi acpi_irq_nobalance"

Grub aktualisieren.

Halte vorsichtshalber eine Ubuntu Start-CD oder USB-Stick bereit, sollte das System beim Startvorgang hängen bleiben.

Die Optionen in der /etc/pcmcia/config.opts sind anscheinend wirkungslos.

Ich vermute es liegt an einem fehlerhaften BIOS bzw. ACPI-System. Suche mal nach einem BIOS-Update für den Rechner.

Das Problem besteht leider weiterhin.

ASUS bietet kein neueres Bios an, als das schon installierte.

Kann ich jetzt nichts mehr tun?

Gibt es noch einen zweiten PCMCIA-Slot, laut IRQ-Tabelle ja. Teste die Karte im zweiten Slot sofern vorhanden.

Man könnte noch gemäß acpi-fix nach Fehlern in der ACPI-Tabelle schauen.

sudo cat /proc/acpi/dsdt > BuZZ-dEE_dsdt.dat 

Die erzeugte Datei unverändert so hier anhängen!

Ansonsten fällt mir momentan nichts weiter dazu ein.
