Zunächst:

Daraufhin erkennt das Bios den USB-Stick nicht mehr und Ubuntu zeigt ihn auch nicht mehr im Launcher an.
Ich habe dann noch folgendes versucht:
fdisk /dev/sdb : p «--- print partition table : a «--- activate partition (bootable) : 1 «--- apply to partition 1 : w «--- write changes and exit

Ich bin leider gezwungen etwas unter openSUSE auszuprobieren und möchte es auf der freien Partition der Festplatte installieren.
