Nein, das sollte auch dort nicht so lange brauchen. Ich vermute, dass da DBus, GConf oder DConf irgendwelche Probleme machen. Bekommst du irgendwelche Fehlermeldungen?

Hallo, ich werde den Reset über Nacht laufen lassen und kann morgen mehr dazu sagen. Die Nvidia GeForce GO 7400, die proprietären nvidia-Treiber und Unity sind ein Traumpaar! Karte ist auf der Unity 3D Blacklist und laut wiki ist die Treiberversion 295.40 fehlerhaft. Das Update 295.49 läuft auch nicht viel besser. Die besten Ergebnisse erzielen noch die 173er Reihe. Wie gesagt alles unter Unity 2D. Mit 3D wurde der Rechner so langsam. Ich versteh nicht, warum unter 10.04 LTS alles so gut lief. Da haben die 3D Effekte ohne Probleme funktioniert. Komische Updates die nvidia da rausbringt.... mfg

Hast du schon mal probiert den Grafikkatetreiber zu ändern.
z.B auf nouveau
Hat bei mir geholfen!Ich hatte auch Probleme mit dem Nvida Treieber

Ja! @ Scheli: Den nouveau Treiber hab ich noch nicht ausprobiert. Problem: Wie deaktiviere ich die nvidia Treiber? Beim deaktivieren wird automatisch ein anderer ausgewählt... (kann über google bzw. im wiki leider nichts finden) Mit jockey-gtk gehts weder über die grafische Oberfläche, noch übber die Konsole: | sudo jockey-gtk -d xorg:nvidia_173

Weis ich auch nicht aber
Du musst einfach die Konfigurationsdatei des Xservers /etc/X11/xorg.conf
mit dem Text
Section "Device"
Identifier "Configured Video Device"
Driver "nouveau"
EndSection versehen
wie hier nouveau beschrieben.
Dann ist der nvidia treiber zwar nicht weg aber du hast den nouveau akktiviert.

Danke für den Hinweis. Mit dem nouveau gibt es leider nicht mal eine grafische Oberfläche. Mal sehen. Wenn ich mehr Zeit habe, dann werde ich einmal versuchen den neuesten Treiber der GeForce Go 7300 zu installieren... mfg
