Hallo, ich beschäftige mich seit ein paar Wochen mit Ubuntu (Hardy Heron 8.04) und konnte bisher fast alle Probleme mit dem Wiki bzw. der Forensuche lösen, nur jetz kommen ich einfach nicht mehr weiter. Mir ist es gelungen eine WLAN-Verbindung mit WPA-PSK Verschlüsselung aufzubauen,
das Problem ist, sie bricht ca. 30 Min. nach Starten des Rechners ab und nach manuellem Wiederaufau
bricht sie alle paar Minuten erneut ab. Unter Vista ist mir die Verbindung damit noch nie abgebrochen.
Ich stelle die Verbindung wieder her durch neustaren der Netzwerkkarte mit
"sudo ifdown wlan0"
"sudo ifup wlan0"
und
"sudo dhclient wlan0"
,manchmal reicht auch nur letzteres. Mein Notebook (Fujitsu-Siemens Pa2845) hat den internen WLAN-Adaper "SiS163u", der läuft jetz mit nem Win98-Teiber (NidsWrapper), weil der XP-Treiber nicht funktionierte und laut Aussage eines Forenmitgliedes der Vista-Treiber
auch nicht läuft.
Zur Konfiguration verwende ich WPA-Supplicant, da mit Wicd die Verschlüsselung nicht funktionierte. Hat jemand von euch mit diesem Adapter schon ne stabile Verbindung hinbekommen, wenn ja wie?
Gibt es vieleicht noch einen anderen Treiber den ich ausprobieren könnte, bzw. kann man die Verbindugnswiederherstellung automatisieren?
Ich habs auch schon mit ner festen IP versucht, aber nach Abbruch konnte ich die Verbindung dann garnicht mehr herstellen. Vielen Dank schon mal im Voraus! MfG Stefan

Hallo, schwer zu sagen woran das liegt, da der Treiber ja grundsätzlich funktioniert. Möglicherweise arbeitet der Treiber unter Linux anders als unter Windows und die Karte überhitzt. Das würde erklären warum der Fehler erst nach ca. 30 Minuten auftritt. Wenn es soweit ist, schalte den Rechner mal für ca. fünf Minuten ab und kontrolliere anschließend wie lange es dauert bis der Fehler wieder auftritt. Packe die beiden Windows-Treiberdateien (*.sys und *.inf) mal in ein tar-Archiv und hänge dies hier an. Was zeigt ein Scan?

Ich glaube nicht, dass das ein Hitzeproblem ist. Habe gerade den PC eingeschaltet,dann gings nach ca.15 Min nicht mehr (lies sich mit den zuvor genannten Befehlen wieder aktivieren) und ich hab ihn 5 Min ausgeschaltet. Nach dem Booten gigs sofort wieder, aber nur für ein paar Minuten. Es kann auch sein, dass es nach dem "Reaktivieren" bis zu einer halben Stunde oder länger gut geht. Den Treiber, den ich verwende, hast du in folgendem Topic zur Verfügung gestellt, dort habe ich ihn runtergeladen.

Im Paket ist ja auch noch der Treiber für XP. Schon getestet?

Ist das die eingebaute Kamera, oder ein ext. Zusatzgerät? Wenn es eine ext. Kamera ist, bitte mal an einen anderen USB-Port anschließen und mit lsusb prüfen. Es sollte nicht an diesem Anschluß sein "Bus 004 ...".

Das ist die eingebaute Kamera (Bus 004 Device 003: ID 0402:5602 ALi Corp. Video Camera Controller). Mit dem XP Treiber funktionierts nicht, das habe ich schon mehrfach versucht (andreren Treiber natürlich vorher deinstalliert). Wenn der installiert ist erscheint die Karte bei 'iwlist scan' und 'iwconfig' garnicht mehr.

Der Treiber von dir läuft zwar, das Problem besteht aber weiterhin.
Ich habe den Teiber installiert und den Rechner neugestartet, dann das WLAN ca. 5 Min funktioniert,
nach reaktivieren durch "sudo dhclient wlan" hat es ca. 1,5h funktioniert.
Wenigstens brichts jetz nicht mehr nach ganz so kurzer Zeit ab.

Durchsuche bitte mal die Log-Dateien nach Meldungen zur WLAN-Schnittstelle, oder hänge diese hier einfach an:
cat /var/log/messages | grep ndis > mes_ndis.txt
cat /var/log/messages | grep wlan0 > messages.txt Mal schauen ob ein brauchbarer Hinweis dabei ist.

Ein Fehler mit dem ACPI-System. Ob das auch mit dem WLAN zusammenhängt, kann ich nicht sagen. [ 15.588613] ACPI: Looking for DSDT in initramfs... error, file /DSDT.aml not found.
Siehe dazu acpi-fix. Kein Fehler mit dem Treiber zu sehen. Ich glaube nicht, dass es daran liegt. Die letzten erfolgreichen Installtionen (Amilo/SIS) bezogen sich alle auf 64Bit-Systeme.

Seit dem ich Intrepid (32 Bit) aufgespielt habe funktioniert das WLAN spitzenmäßig, es ist seit dem noch kein einzige mal abegebrochen.
Die Konfiguration war in 2 Minuten erledigt, ich musste nur den Windows-Treiber mit ndiswrapper installieren und den WPA-PSK Key im Network-Manager eingeben.
Das ACPI-Problem ist scheinbar seit Intrepid auch gelöst, ich konnte in der Kerneldiagnostik zumindest keines mehr erkennen.
