Hallo Zusammen!

Ich habe grade ein seltsames Phänomen meiner WLAN Karte entdeckt!

Das WLAN funktioniert einwandfrei, solange ich mein Laptop am Netz habe! Sobald ich den Strom ziehe, verliert er die Verbindung und fragt mich nach ein paar Minuten nach dem Schlüssel des WLANs. es funktioniert dann aber auch nicht mehr, wenn ich den Laptop wieder mit Strom versorge. Es hilft nur ein Reboot mit Netzteil. Dann geht es wieder ohne Probleme.

Was braucht ihr von mir für Angaben?

Es dauert nicht immer gleich lange, bis die WLAN Verbindung abbricht. Allerhöchstens 2 Minuten, nachdem der Netzstecker gezogen wurden.

Die PM-Einstellung ist in beiden Fällen zumindest in Ordnung. Du könntest es mit dem Broadcom STA-Treiber versuchen. Schau mal ob dieser im restricted-manager angeboten wird.

Ansonsten ein fach ein

sudo apt-get install bcmwl-kernel-source

und noch die Sperrliste manuell ändern

sudo gedit /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-bcm43.conf

Inhalt ggf. so ändern sofern nicht schon automatisch geschehen:

blacklist b43
blacklist b43legacy
blacklist ssb
blacklist bcm43xx

Neu starten und die Installation überprüfen.

lspci -nnk | grep Broadcom
iwconfig
dmesg | egrep 'b43|wl'

Sofern alles funktioniert die Verbindung im Akkubetrieb testen.

Sofern der neue Treiber nicht funktioniert die /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-bcm43.conf anpassen und neu starten:

Der STA Treiber wird zwar angezeigt, aber wird über den restricted Manager nicht installiert. Da kommt eine Fehlermeldung! Wenn du mir sagst, wie ich die vernünftig auslesen kann. Poste ich sie dir!

Sudo apt-get install bcmwl-kernel-source wird auch nicht installiert, da er das Paket nicht findet!

Du benötigst zu den angegebenen Befehlen eine bestehende iNet-Verbindung.

Installation der Broadcom STA-Treibers von CD, USB-Stick oder ISO-Image

Die benötigten DEB-Pakete für den WLAN-Treiber müssten sich auch auf der Ubuntu-CD oder dem Installationsmedium (USB-Stick) befinden. Alternativ kann auch direkt das zur installierten Version passende Ubuntu ISO-Image eingebunden werden.

Folgende Pakete werden benötigt:

  • patch - ~/pool/main/p/patch

  • dkms - ~/pool/main/d/dkms/

  • fakeroot - ~/pool/main/f/fakeroot

  • bcmwl-kernel-source - ~/pool/restricted/b/bcmwl

Einfach nacheinander doppelt anklicken, die Paketverwaltung bzw. das Software-Center startet, fragt nach dem Benutzerkennwort und installiert dann die Software.

Die erforderlichen Pakete kann man aber auch direkt vom Server holen. http://packages.ubuntu.com

Treiber b43 nun manuell entladen und das neue Modul wl laden oder das System nach der Installation neu starten um den vorhandenen Systemtreiber b43 automatisch zu entladen und den neuen Treiber zu aktivieren.

sudo modprobe -rfv b43
sudo modprobe wl 

Prüfen:

iwconfig
ifconfig -a
dmesg | egrep 'wl|eth|lib'
iwlist chan
sudo iwlist scan

Ich weiß nicht warum, aber jetzt hat er das Paket gefunden. Es scheint auch zu funktionieren. Hab es vielleicht falsch geschrieben oder ich hatte wirklich keine Internetverbindung.

Für Broadcom-Karten gibt es zwei Treiber die mit bestimmten Karten funktionieren, den freien Treiber b43 und den proprietären Station-Treiber von Broadcom. Für die hier verwendete Karte (Broadcom Corporation BCM4312 802.11b/g LP-PHY 14e4:4315) sollte besser der STA-Treiber verwendet werden. Ob das reibungslos funktioniert muss man ausprobieren, da es zwei Varianten dieses Typs gibt.

Wir haben jetzt also nur manuell b43 deaktiviert und STA (Modul wl) installiert. Nichts anderes macht der restricted-manager über Skripte. Allerdings ist ja noch nicht klar ob der eigentliche Fehler damit behoben ist.

Teste das in Ruhe aus und markiere hier als "gelöst" wenn die Verbindung stabil läuft.
