Hallo Zusammen,
nachdem ich nun wirklich seit Wochen mit meiner PCMCIA W-LAN Karte D-Link DWL 610 air mit RTL 8180 Chipsatz herumbastle und einfach nicht ans Ziel komme, wende ich mich ein letztes Mal an die Ubuntu-Gemeinschaft in der Hoffnung es möge sich nochmal Jemand dieses leidigen Themas annehmen.
Habe mich dazu auch schon in anderen postings verewigt und nach längerer Überlegung entschieden noch einenmal einen neuen und für mich persönlich letzten thread mit möglichst gut beschriebener Problemstellung zu veröffentlichen. Sollte am Ende doch noch alles funktionieren so verspreche ich ein etwas "ausführlicheres" Wiki als das über den rtl8180 vorhandene zu erstellen bzw. am bereits existierenden mitzuwirken.
Als erstes werde ich die aktuelle Konfiguration darstellen. Mit Ihr funktioniert meine WPA-PSK-Verbindung in begrenztem Umfang. Da ich mitten in Berlin lebe und mich immer mindestens 4-5 Nachbarnetze umgeben (bestens gesichert wie ich mit kismet geprüft habe), möchte ich auf keinen Fall das mühsam errichtete WPA wieder aufgeben. Bevor ich auf WEP zurückgreife stecke ich lieber wieder ein Kabel rein.
Was funktioniert?
Emails abrufen (verschicken nur wenn die email wenige Zeilen enthält), browsen jeglichen Inhalts in Firefox, apt-get, licq, Castpodder, Adesklets, Homebanking, usw.
Was funktioniert nicht?
Große emails verschicken (weder über thunderbird noch über das GMX WebmailIF), das Erstellen eines postings unter Ubuntuusers (Vorschau,Absenden)

Mir fällt nichts mehr ein. Auch die in stundenlanger Suche gefundenen Infos sind entweder unvollständig oder nicht wirklich ausführlich genug um alles nachzuvollziehen. Eine Information wie "RTL 8180 und WPA-PSK! Alles klappt super! So hab ich es gemacht" gibt es scheinbar nicht. Auch hört man öfter "...der RTL8180 läuft sogar mit WPA indem man statt wext als Treiber ipw verwendet. Mit Verlaub, völliger Quatsch! Habe ich auch versucht und alle wext durch ipw ersetzt. Genauso der ndiswrapper als wpa Treiber funktioniert auch nicht. Mit ndiswrapper in der blacklist und der rtl8180 (im Kernel dabei) steht nur noch WEP zur Verfügung.
Vielleicht fällt Euch ja noch was ein. ich bin mit meinem Latein am Ende und da ich echt richtig viel Zeit in dieses s*****s Problem investiert habe wäre eine fehlende auflösung mehr als frustrierend. Hat den niemand dieses Ding korrekt am Laufen?
