ich bekomme leider unter Dapper meine Belkin-WLAN-Karte mit ndiswrapper nicht zum Laufen.
Unter Breezy war das so einfach:

ndiswrapper -i bcmwl5a.inf
ndiswrapper -m
modprobe ndiswrapper

...und schon lief sie!

Mit Dapper funktioniert da leider gar nichts, auch mit dem selben Schema wie oben, bekomme noch nichtmal die LED an der Karte zum Leuchten.
Dennoch wird mit "ndiswrapper -l" die Meldung "Hardware present" ausgegeben.

Weiß hier jemand Rat?

Hi ich hab genau das gleiche Problem, aber mit einem Netgear Usb Stick. Hab auf Dapper geupdatet und jetzt starten sie nicht mehr. Wird als present angzeigt und leuchtet aber nicht. Kann uns jemand helfen?

Guckt mal mit 'dmesg' nach, ob das ndiswrapper Modul ohne Fehler geladen wurden.
Vielleicht stören auch andere Module den ndiswrapper. Gebt mal 'lsmod' ein und überprüft ob andere wlan Treiber mitgeladen werden. Bei mir waren es zum Beispiel die Module

islsm_usb
islsm_device
islsm


die ndiswrapper behindert haben.
Falls diese (oder andere) Module geladen werden, könnt ihr sie in /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist eintragen und so ihr Laden verhindern.

Ich habe an meine /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist zum Beispiel folgende Zeilen angehängt:

blacklist islsm_usb
blacklist islsm_device
blacklist islsm

Hallo, bin leider noch nicht weitergekommen... Versteh nicht warum das bei Breezy so einfach war, mein Wlan zu installieren und hier komm ich nicht weiter 🙄

Ist für dich vielleicht zu spät, aber vielleicht hilfts anderen:

Hatte gerade das gleiche problem wie du, ich wußte zudem auch nicht welche Module ich den nun auf die Blacklist setzen sollte.
Bei mir hats nun mit

blacklist ieee80211softmac
blacklist ieee80211
blacklist ieee80211_crypt
blacklist bcm43xx

geklappt.

Ich denke mal das du den usbcore zuviel auf der Blacklist hattest 😉
