Hallo Freunde von Ubuntu. Nach einem Wechsel von Ubuntu 10.04 zu Ubuntu 12.04 (Neuinstallation) bin ich nicht mehr in der Lage im 2.4Ghz Band mit 300mbit/s zu verbinden. Stattdessen werden nur 130Mbit/s erreicht (Intel 6300 Ultimate an Fritz.box 7390) Soweit ich das verstanden habe ist dieses Verhalten auf eine Reduzierung der Kanalbreite von 40mhz auf 20mhz zurück zu führen. Eine weitere Recherche ergab, dass im Kernel 3.1 eine Option eingeführt wurde, die das 2.4ghz Band auf 20mhz Kanalbreite beschränkt. Da ubuntu 12.04 den Kernel 3.2 nutzt ist dieser patch wohl standardmäßig aktiviert (?). Die Ausgabe:

Hallo, meist sind nur die Ländereinstellungen fehlerhaft. Prüfen
sudo apt-get install iw
iw list # Ausgabe zeigen
iw reg get
sudo iw reg set DE
iw reg get
Verbindung neu aufbauen und testen. Sind zusätzlich Moduloptionen festgelegt?
grep iwlwifi /etc/modprobe.d/* Außerdem würde ich mit dieser Karte sowieso das 5Ghz-Band nutzen.

Nun, was ich sehen kann, ist, dass das Setzen der Ländereinstellungen eine Änderung der Ausgabe iw reg get gebracht hat. Ich vermute, dass die @20 bzw @40 in der Ausgabe der Kanalbreite entsprechen, oder? [EDIT]
Habe nun mit 300mbit/s auf 2.4Ghz verbinden können. Alte Ausgabe der Fritz.box

WLAN-Gerät angemeldet (2,4 GHz). Name: XXX-NB, Geschwindigkeit 300 Mbit/s. Bleiben das Setzen von DE dauerhaft erhalten? Wird dieser Fehler in Ubuntu gebugfixt?

Die Ausgabe
country 00:

ist ja eigentlich nicht richtig, aber vielleicht wurden die Einstellungen auch nicht richtig übernommen. Teste das erneut nach Restart. Möglicherweise steht dazu auch etwas im Log:
dmesg | egrep 'iw|cfg8|mac8|country|reg' Trage den funktionierenden Befehl ansonsten in das Startskript rc.local ein.
Ich vermute, dass die @20 bzw @40 in der Ausgabe der Kanalbreite entsprechen, oder?

.. Die Ländereinstellungen sind wieder die gleichen wie vor dem Setzen. Außerdem würde ich mit dieser Karte sowieso das 5Ghz-Band nutzen.
Nutze gerade das 5Ghz Band. Habe den Router jedoch so konfiguriert, dass die SSID im 2.4Ghz, wie im 5Ghz Bereich gleich ist. Da sich relative viele Geräte via Wlan verbinden kann der Client entscheiden, welchen Bereich er für sinnvoll hält (Bzgl. Signalstärke und angemeldeter Clients). Sind zusätzlich Moduloptionen festgelegt?

die Ländereinstellung nach Systemstart ja zumindest richtig angezeigt wird nach reg set DE jedoch country 00: ausgegeben wird dies nach obiger Aussage aber zur gewünschten Verbesserung führt

Nein, so direkt nicht. Du kannst eine eigene Reg-Database erstellen und das 2.4GHz-Band abschalten (oder auch ganz andere Dinge einstellen 😉 ). Anleitung.

Mich auch 😉 Ich werde im Laufe des Abends mal testen, ob er sich im 2.4Ghz noch immer mit nur 20mhz verbindet. Kann gerade nicht das 5Ghz des Routers ausschalten, da es dann auch das 2.4Ghz unterbricht und dafür sind gerade zu viele Clienten angemeldet (die ins Inet wollen). Normalerweise nutzt mein Laptop auch den 5Ghz Bereich. Wenn ich jedoch weiter weg gehe, Wände dazwischen sind, wechselt er auf 2.4Ghz. Das Verhalten finde ich so auch sinnvoll. Die Reg-Database reizt mich. Da ich aber ohnehin viel zu viel Zeit mit Linux Themen verbringe lasse ichs lieber erstmal bleiben ,)

was eine manuelle Änderung möglicherweise unwirksam werden läßt. Wobei die manuelle Änderung etwas später ja anscheinend klaglos akzeptiert wird:

Das System wird dadurch nicht unbrauchbar, es können nur eigene Einstellungen verwendet werden, die Einstellmöglichkeiten werden also erweitert.

Ich denke man kann das Thema auf gelöst setzen. Du hast mir dankenswerter Weise zwei Lösungsansätze gegeben. Reg-Database oder dirty über die rc.local. Wenn ich darüber hinaus auf Lösungen stoßen sollte oder den Grund für dieses komische Verhalten finde, melde ich mich noch einmal. Danke PS: Wenn ich weitere Konsolenausgaben liefern soll. Mehr wüsste ich zu dem Thema momentan nicht. Ich selbst besitze allerdings keine entsprechende Hardware die das 5GHz-Band unterstützt, nutze normalerweise auch kein WLAN, und kann daher auch nichts in dieser Richtung testen (hier liegen WLAN-Kabel 😉 ).

Da leider die rc.local beim System start nicht oder aber zu früh/spät ausgeführt wird, erfolgt die Umsetzung des Befehls
nicht. Die Ländereinstellungen bleiben beim Systemstart also unverändert. Ganz zu Beginn des Threads fiel mir die Zeile

auf. Welche durch modinfo cfg80211 sichtbar gemacht wird. praseodym hat mich wieder auf diese Ursprungsidee gebracht. Kann ich diesen "Zusatz" beim Laden des Moduls verhindern? EDIT:
habe dazu noch dieses Thema gefunden: http://www.forum-3dcenter.org/vbulletin/archive/index.php/t-519336.html Es scheint im 3.1 Kernel eine Änderung http://www.spinics.net/lists/linux-wireless/msg68248.html der Kanalbreite gegeben haben, welche im Kernel 3.2 wieder rückgängig gemacht wurde. Hallo, der Parameter ist beim Laden des Moduls standardmäßig nicht gesetzt. Du kannst aber eine Konfigurationsdatei anlegen und testen

Hallo, ich gebe auch eine kleine Info: Fritz!Box 7390: 192.168.178.26 20:4E:7F:xx:93:55 216 Mbit/s 2,4 GHz, WPA2, WMM, STBC USB Adapter: Bus 002 Device 003: ID 0846:9018 NetGear, Inc. WNDA3200 802.11abgn Wireless Adapter [Atheros AR7010+AR9280] So genau defnierte Zustände sind bei meinem wlan schwer zu finden, so ganz raus habe ich das noch nicht. Es schwankt zwischen 108 und 300 Mbit/s. Im 2,4-GHz-Frequenzband habe ich höhere mögliche Übertragungswerte. MfG undine
