Hallo, ich habe folgendes Problem:
Nach der Installation von Lubuntu 14.04.1 wird der Monitor nur noch mit 640x480 angesteuert. Als Live-CD war die Einstellung noch 1024x768.
Ich habe folgendes ausgelesen:

Nach der Installation wurde durch die Aktualisierungsverwaltung die Aktualisierung des Systems angeboten, welches ich auch gemacht habe. Geändert hat sich an der Grafik nichts. Ich habe versucht mit den grafischen Werkzeugen die Einstellung zu ändern, ohne Erfolg.
Dann habe ich versucht RandR zu beeinflussen:

warning: output screen-0 not found; ignoring
Ohne Erfolg, wohl auch, weil der Monitor nicht richtig erkannt wird.
Hat jemand eine Idee, wie man den Monitor richtig einbindet? Schon mal danke vorab

Ohne KMS funktioniert der intel Treiber nicht, das nomodeset muss aus der Bootzeile wieder rausfliegen.

Ich habe in der Datei "/etc/default/grub" den Eintrag nomodset gelöscht und danach Grub neu gestartet:

Der Bildschirm hat immer noch eine Größe von 640x480, ist jetzt aber in die linke obere Ecke gerutscht und die Taskleiste zieht jetzt Streifen zum unteren Bildschirmrand.
Muss der Intel-Treiber erst aktiviert/eingebunden werden?

[ 34.892] (WW) intel(0): loading DRI2 whilst the GPU is wedged. Da steckt wohl etwas quer. Ich würde mal im BIOS mit den Optionen zum Reservieren des RAMs für die GPU herum fummeln.

Im BIOS habe ich nichts gefunden. Es ist ein Riegel mit 1GB installiert.

2. Ich habe einen externen Monitor an den Laptop angeschlossen. Dabei blieb der Interne Monitor nach dem BIOS schwarz, der externe monitor zeigt das gewünschte volle Bild in 1024x768

Hm, aus irgend einem Grund läd er beim Auftreten des Problems wohl das Kernel Modul nicht - da wäre die Ausgabe von dmesg im Problemfall von Interesse.

Die dmesg Ausgabe kommt nicht vom Fehlerfall, dort wird das Kernel Modul ja korrekt geladen. Dort taucht allerdings direkt am Anfang eine Warnmeldung auf, die auf einen Fehler im BIOS hinweist. Ist das BIOS der Kiste aktuell?
