Liebe Community, ich habe folgendes Problem:
Ich möchte auf meinem Lenovo Y50-70 parallel zu Windows 8.1 Pro (64bit) Ubuntu 14.04LTS installieren. Die Installation funktioniert auch, bis zu dem Punkt, dass GRUB installiert und vorbereitet werden muss. Ab diesem Punk (kurz vor Installationsschluss) bricht die gesamte Installation mit folgender Fehlermeldung ab: Die Installation von GRUB ist fehlgeschlagen Das Paket >>grub-efi-amd64-signed<< konnte nicht in /target/ installiert werden. Ohne den GRUB-Bootloader wird das installierte System nicht booten. [ein Link zum Screenshot ist hier zu finden → http://imgur.com/ULMl618 ] Das ISO-Image habe ich mit Unetbootin auf einen 8GB-USB-Stick gespielt. Meine Hardware:
Intel Core i7,
NVIDIA GTX-860M 8GB,

15,6" Display (Full HD),
1TB Festplatte (keine SSD),
JBL Lautsprecher,
Bluetooth ,
Wifi,
2x USB 3.0,

Dann liegt eine Unverträglichkeit zwischen der Windows-8.1-Installation und der von Ubuntu vor. Bitte starte den Rechner noch einmal mit dem Installations-Medium (USB-Stick) und liefere uns diese Daten:
Bitte alle Befehle abarbeiten und die Ausgaben/Anzeigen (einschließlich Fehlermeldungen) hier im Codeblock herzeigen. gruß syscon-hh

Noch eine kurze Anmerkung, die warscheinlich von größerer Bedeutung sein könnte: Ich habe dummerweise versucht Ubuntu 15.10 (ich glaube die war es) Alpha versucht zum laufen zu kriegen und da hat nichtmal die Installation an sich richtig funktioniert (was bei einer Alpha auch nicht schlimm ist). Daraufhin wollte ich einfach Ubuntu 14.04 drüberinstallieren.

Starte bitte mal von der Live-USB, öffne ein Terminal und führe aus: | sudo efibootmgr -n 0003
sudo reboot

Zum ersten Befehl sagt er:

Dann installierst du dir eben zuerst den "efibootmgr" im Live-System mit sudo apt-get install efibootmgr Ich hätte gedacht, das sei klar, da du eben schon mal eine Ausgabe von "efibootmgr" gepostet hast.

Eigentlich wollte ich nur wissen, ob nach sudo reboot dein Ubuntu startet, oder ob der Eintrag noch von einer anderen Installation stammt.

Nach dem Reboot startet Grub mit einer Kommandozeileneingabe, die man mit Exit beenden kann. Dann eoffnen sich die Bootoptions (usb usw.)

Gut, dann wäre auch dieser Punkt geklärt. Meine bescheidene Kenntnisse reichen nicht weiter als bis hier hin, aber ich schlage dir vor, dass du mal die md5sum der *.iso Datei überprüfst. Sollte da schon ein Fehler auftauchen, dann müssen wir hier nicht weitersuchen. Sollte die md5sum der *.iso Datei mit derjenigen vom Downloadserver übereinstimmen, dann starte mal das Live-Medium zum "Ubuntu ausprobieren" und öffne ein Terminal. Danach führst du aus: | sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

Danach startest du bitte direkt die Installation und schaust, ob der Fehler auch weiterhin auftaucht. Ansonsten verweise ich dich wieder in die Obhut von syscon-hh.

So, ich habe die Installation wiederholt, aber das gleiche Problem tritt wieder auf ☹
Würde es vielleicht funktionieren, wenn ich die festplatte formatiere und win8 und dann linux neu installiere?

Könnte möglicherweise helfen, die Laufwerkstabelle mit GUID_Partition_Table neu zu schreiben - damit alles wieder wie neu ist.

So, ich habe bereits die Platte formatiert und Windows neu installiert. Nach abgeschlossener Installation habe ich Ubuntu 14.04 versucht zu installieren. Das gleiche Problem tritt wieder auf. Ich schließe daraus mal, dass das am Windows liegt, dass Grub nicht installiert werden kann. Ich meine mal gelesen zu haben, dass Microsoft da weitere Hürden eingebaut hat (von Win7 auf 8)... Ist das Problem möglicherweise SecureBoot?
