Hallo,
auf meinem Notebook Acer Aspire V3 (Intel Core i5, Iris Graphics 6100) bekomme ich meinen externen Bildschirm, der über HDMI angeschlossen ist, nicht zum Laufen.
In den Gnome Einstellungen → Anzeigegeräte wird nur der Laptop Bildschirm angezeigt.
Die Ausgabe von Xrandr sieht folgendermaßen aus:

HDMI1 wird als disconnected angezeigt, obwohl der Bildschirm angeschlossen und eingeschaltet ist.
Ich hab versucht den Bildschirm über xrandr zu aktivieren, hat aber nicht funktioniert:
$ xrandr --addmode HDMI1 1920x1080 $ xrandr --output HDMI1 --mode 1920x1080 --right-of eDP1 xrandr: Configure crtc 1 failed
und der dazugehörige Auszug aus /var/log/Xorg.0.log
$ tail /var/log/Xorg.0.log ... Damit bin ich mit meinem Latein am Ende...wäre dankbar für Tipps und Hinweise wie ich den externen Bildschirm zum Laufen kriege.
