Hallo,
bei der Erstinstallation des HP 17-y020ng mit Broadcom BCM43142 Chip hat das Kernelmodul acer_wmi Probleme verursacht. Das WLAN Gerät wurde korrekt erkannt, blieb aber trotz aller Bemühungen deaktiviert. In KDE war es möglich WLAN zu aktivieren, es wurde allerdings immer wenige Sekunden später wieder deaktiviert.
Die Ausgabe von rfkill sah so aus:

Die Folge war, dass lshw das Gerät immer als "Deaktiviert" gemeldet hat. Der Soft Block ließ sich nicht deaktivieren, weder über rfkill noch über die Funktionstaste.
Als Workaround habe ich das Module acer_wmi in die Blacklist geschoben. Bisher ohne Funktionseinschränkung. Offensichtlich ist dies ein bereits ähnlich bekanntes Problem.
Die aktuell für mich funktionierende Konfiguration ist:

Ich dachte, dass diese Info sicherlich interessant ist, da ich viele gesehen habe, die mit diesem Chip unter 16.04 ebenfalls Probleme haben. Offen bleibt die Frage, warum das Modul acer_wmi überhaupt geladen worden ist.
