Hallo! Beim Abspielen einer DVD mit VLC oder SMPlayer erscheint das Video immer im Vordergrund (die Auswahlmenüs verschwinden dahinter und sind deshalb nicht benutzbar) - zudem lässt sich die Größe nicht anpassen. Sogar genau jetzt bleibt das Video im
Vordergrund stehen - während das Fenster
des VLC-Players hinter Firefox ver-
schwindet. Vielen Dank, Manuel Moderiert von XM-Franz: Thema ins hoffentlich richtige Forum verschoben.

Hallo Franz Habs ausprobiert - aber das Problem liegt woanders. Ich öffne Disk - DVD von Laufwerk und dann wird das Video angezeigt. Dann öffne ich z.B. Firefox und das Video bleibt im Vordergrund sichtbar - es klebt sozusagen im Vordergrund und selbst die Drop-Down-Menus von SMPlayer oder VLC verschwinden dahinter. Vielleicht ein Problem im Zusammenhang mit dem neuen Plasma? Manuel

Hallo! Schau mal unter:
VLC: Unter "Einstellungen (Strg-P)" - "Video" findet sich eine Checkbox für "immer im Vordergrund". Diese muss natürlich deaktiviert sein. Du könntest eine spezielle Fensterregel verwendet haben. Dazu bei gestartetem Programm mit Rechtsklick auf dessen Icon klicken und unter "Weitere Aktionen - Spezielle Einstellungen für dieses Programm" eben jene kontrollieren. (Alternativ über "Systemeinstellungen - Arbeitsbereich - Fensterverwaltung - Fensterregeln") Du kannst dir unter "Systemeinstellungen - Erscheinungsbild - Anwendungs-Stil - Fensterdekoration - Knöpfe" die Schaltfläche für "Immer im Vordergrund" platzieren und diese in jedem Fenster (de-)aktivieren.
SMPlayer kenne ich nicht und kann nichts dazu sagen, Regel 2 und 3 funktioniert natürlich auch da.

Danke für die Tipps. Ich hätte vermutlich dazusagen sollen, dass ich Kubuntu auf einem neuen Rechner erst vor kurzem installiert habe und ich vermute inzwischen, dass es an der Grafikkarte liegt. VLC hat ja die Standardeinstellung "Overlay", welche die Hardwarebeschleunigung ausnutzt ... vielleicht funktioniert das ohne passenden Treiber nicht. lspci -nnk | grep "VGA\|'Kern'\|3D\|Display" -A2

Hallo! Gib nochmal lspci -nnk | grep "VGA\|'Kern'\|3D\|Display" -A 3 ein. Dann siehst du das verwendete Modul. (Ist nur die Anzahl Zeilen) Bei einem Grafiktreiber-Problem könnte ich dich ins entsprechende Unterforum verschieben. Falls du das möchtest, kannst du dein Thema melden und die ensprechenden Ausgaben nachreichen. (Vor allem die xorg.0.log) Ich habe mir den VLC nun auf meinem Netbook (auch Intel-Grafik) installiert, kann dein Problem aber nicht nachvollziehen oder reproduzieren. Zunächst würde ich ein BIOS/UEFI-Update versuchen, falls es eines für dein System gibt. Die Firmware scheint für die Intels in Ubuntu aktuell zu sein. Ausprobieren könntest du auch noch UXA statt SNA, welches wohl auch bei Skylake eingesetzt werden kann.

Ich habe gerade mal den Vollbild-Modus ausprobiert. Das Auswahlmenü der DVD erscheint zentral in der Mitte (drumrum ist noch viel Platz) und die Position des Mauszeigers stimmt nicht - um einen Menüpunkt auszuwählen muss ich entweder darüber (in der oberen Hälfte des Bildschirms) oder darunter sein. Also ein Skalierungsfehler. Vielleicht hilft das? Muss ich vielleicht nur einige special-effects deaktivieren oder die Auflösung verändern? Da ich ein Dualboot (auf zwei Festplatten ssd:Kubuntu und HD:win7) eingerichtet habe, bin ich da erst mal vorsichtig. Liebe Grüße, Manuel PS: Was soll ich mit Xorg.0.log machen?

Ich kann da nun nichts "schlimmes" entdecken, was aber nichts heisst ☺ Versuche es mit dem Benutzer und dem Mainline-Kernel. Danach poste hier, ob es einen Unterschied gab. Wenn nicht, muss ich an der Stelle auf Grund von Unwissen aufgeben ☺
