Kurz zusammengefasst ist Folgendes gelaufen: Komplette Neuinstallation von Lubuntu 16.04.1 LTS mit getrenntem root- und home-Verzeichnis sowie swap. Installiert wurde der 31-er Kernel. Anschließend alle Aktualisierungen, die in der Aktualisierungsverwaltung angegeben wurden, installieren lassen. Danach ließ sich der Rechner nicht mehr starten, sondern hängte sich noch vor dem Anmeldebildschirm auf. Wenn ich - dank der Hinweise im verlinkten Thread - acpi=off beim Booten gesetzt habe, lief der Rechner. Da ich dem Problem auf den Grund gehen wollte, habe ich ein weiteres Lubuntu als Testsystem installiert und die Aktualisierungen in kleineren Schritten vollzogen. Wenn nur noch die beiden Pakete xserver-common und xserver-xorg-core nicht installiert sind, läuft noch alles einwandfrei, nach deren Aktualisierung geht es wieder nur mit acpi=off weiter.
Nun hatte ich deshalb im Normalsystem versucht, die Aktualisierung, wie hier simuliert

rückgangig zu machen und dabei auch diese Tipps dieses Beitrags berücksichtigt, aber danach schaffte der Rechner es zwar zum Anmeldebildschirm, an diesem waren aber Touchpad und Keyboard unbrauchbar. Also habe ich über chroot oder Kommandozeile (langsam weiß ich es nicht mehr) wieder auf die 4. Ebene des xservers aktualisiert, damit ich wenigstens über die Bootoption acpi=off wieder starten kann, konnte damit aber nichts mehr bewegen. Zwar fehlte noch der Intel-Treiber, aber auch nach dessen Installation änderte sich nichts.
Könnte ich Erfolg haben, wenn ich alle 19 Pakete, die oben aufgeführt sind und bei der Rückabwicklung entfernt werden, wieder nachinstalliere oder bekomme ich dann Versionskonflikte?
und 2.: Was hat die Aktualisierung inkludiert, das die Verwendung von acpi=off im Testsystem notwendig macht?
