erst mal danke für die Antworten.
So wie in dem Link von Thomas beschrieben hatte ich es schon versucht, und auch neuerlich ohne Erfolg, der Hotspot blieb unsichtbar für andere Geräte, mit mehreren ausprobiert. Wie ich den Hotspot eingerichtet habe, sieht man auf den Screenshots im Anhang.
lspci -nnk hatte ich auch schon ausgeführt, nachdem ich einen entsprechenden Hinweis gefunden habe, allerdings verstehe ich das Ergebnis nur zu sehr geringem Teil und bin mir daher nicht sicher, ob es ok ist (,nebenbei, wo kann ich mehr dazu lesen, ich möchte ja nicht ewig anderen zur Last fallen?).
