Hallo!
Nachdem ich mein System neu aufgespielt habe, konnte ich zwar den Launcher starten, jedoch gab mir Minecraft folgende Fehlermeldung, als ich das Spiel starten wollte. Kennt das jemand, bzw. weiß jemand damit umzugehen?

Die Java-Referenzimplementierung OpenJDK kann bei Spielen und anderen Spezialprogrammen Probleme bereiten. Also, die voll Manuelle Installation der JRE Version habe ich nicht hin bekommen... Ich habe es dann über die Version via PPA versucht, mit dem annähernd selben Ergebnis wie zuvor. 1

Hi, ich würde es mal mit dem neuestem Mesa probieren, dazu entweder warten, bis 17.04 rauskommt oder ein ppa hinzufügen (ACHTUNG! Das könnte dein System Zerstören!)

Bei einer kurze Recherche habe ich den gleichen Fehler bei anderen Ubuntu-Minecraft-Spielern gefunden. Diese haben das Problem dann behoben, indem sie das Paket "x11-xserver-utils" installiert haben, denn in diesem Paket ist das Programm "xrandr" enthalten, mit dem Minecraft (genau genommen die 3D-Bibliothek LWJGL) die verfügbaren Anzeigemodi abfrägt. Doche es sind anscheinend keine vorhanden, wie die folgenden Zeilen Deines Fehlers zeigen: Caused by: java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 0 at org.lwjgl.opengl.LinuxDisplay.getAvailableDisplayModes(LinuxDisplay.java:951)
Du solltest auf jeden Fall sicherstellen, daß das Paket installiert ist:
sudo apt install x11-xserver-utils Was hat dann der Befehl
xrandr
für eine Ausgabe? Er sollte nämlich verschiedene Auflösungen anzeigen. Zudem ist es seltsam, daß gar kein OpenGL-Kontext gefunden wird: OpenGL: ~~ERROR~~ RuntimeException: No OpenGL context found in the current thread.
Läuft überhaupt bei Dir irgendeine (OpenGL-)3D-Anwendung? Außerdem scheint Deine Minecraft-Version zeimlich alt zu sein (v1.11.2 statt der aktuellen v1.8.X)? Die könntest Du auch aktualisieren… Gruß,

Okay, das heißt du hast ein Notebook mit Optimus - nVidia und Intel-Grafik, korrekt? Hast du das Spiel mit der nVidia-Karte gestartet?

*hier lauten Jubel einfügen* Ok, hab es geschafft, danke allen und speziell crazy-biscuit! Ich hab bei den Treibern die firmware für Intel-CPU ausgeschaltet und zack, die Minecraftwelt ist wieder in Ordnung.

Schön, dass es läuft. Übrigens kannst du die Grafikkarte, wenn beide aktiv sind, im Treiber wechseln oder aber im Terminal. Der Vorteil der Intel-Grafik ist, dass sie weniger Strom verbraucht, somit weniger Abwärme erzeugt, somit der Rechner leiser bleibt und der Akku länger hält. Außer zum Spielen oder Anwendungen wie 3D CAD ist sie also immer besser.
