Hallo Forum.
Ich nutze nun seit etwa 3 Jahren Linux. Immer wieder bin ich zwischen den -buntus und Mints hin und her gesprungen, weil es Störungen gab, welche ich nicht beheben konnte. Von den Möglichkeiten der Anpassungen des Designs gefällt mir Mate am besten. Ich nutze da z.B. die Cupertino-Oberfäche. Auch ist Mate eine der ganz wenigen Distributionen, bei der mein HDMI-Audio-Ausgang stabil erkannt wird und ich nicht nach jedem Start den Audio-Ausgang von "Intern Analog" (Notebook) auf "Extern HDMI" ( angeschlossener Bildschirm umstellen muss.
Leider ist aber "Mate" genau die Oberfläche, bei der ich immer dieses Problem mit dem diagonalen Knick beim scrollen (beim lesen in Foren und in Onlinezeitungen) habe. Es sieht optisch aus, als wenn sich so eine Art Glasbruchstelle diagonal über den Bildschirm bildet, wie gesagt nur während des scrollens. Ähnlich ist es bei Videos auf Youtube oder auch beim schauen von Videodateien. Gibt es einen seitlichen Kameraschwenk, dann bilden sich da diesmal waagerechte "Glasbruchstellen". Schwenkt die Kamera nicht und gibt es keine großartigen Bewegungen im Bild, ist alles in Ordnung.

Was ich bisher selbst versucht habe:
Ich nutze konsequent Firefox Quantum. Dort habe ich den "Sanften Bildlauf" deaktiviert. Hilft leider bei Mate überhaupt nicht. Bei anderen Distros konnte ich solche Störungen beim scrollen damit gut beheben.
Unter "about:config" habe ich mal "layers.acceleration.force-enabled" auf "true" umgestellt. Ohne Erfolg.
Weiß jemand vielleicht noch einen anderen Rat? Ich möchte gerne bei Ubuntu Mate bleiben und nicht wieder zu einer anderen Distro hopsen, wo ich dann das andere Problem mit dem HDMI-Audio-Ausgang habe.
