Leider ist gestern irgendetwas mit meinem Linux-Rechner passiert. Habe ihn hochgefahren, bin dann ins Labor und als ich wiederkam konnte ich mich nicht mehr einloggen. Wollte den Rechner neu starten, aber er hat nicht mehr gebootet.
Habe danach zwei Stunden mit einem Freund telefoniert, aber das Fazit war, dass ich neu installieren muss. Leider wurde nie ein Backup erstellt, aber zum Glück komme ich über die CD mit Ubuntu und "Try Ubuntu without installing" an meine Festplatte mit all meinen Daten ran inklusive bin, usr, dev, etc, Home usw. Home ist am wichtigsten, denn dort befinden sich alle Softwares mit denen ich zurzeit arbeite. Nun wollte ich über Ubuntus hauseigenes Backup Tool meine Daten (und vor allen Dingen die installierten Softwares; meine wichtigen Daten sind alle auf einem NAS Server und somit nicht gefährdet bei einer Neuinstallation) sichern.
Nach der Neuinstallation dann über dieses Toll ein restore machen. Meine Frage nun: Mache ich das so richtig? Oder wie sichert man am besten Dateien ohne Zugriff auf den Desktop? Ein Kollege meinte gerade allerdings, dass wenn ich von allem komplett ein Backup mache, ja auch quasi der Fehler im System mit gespeichert wird und die Neuinstallation dann möglicherweise garnix bringt. Ist dies möglich? Wäre es da doch besser nur von meinem Home-Verzeichnis ein Backup zu erstellen? Kann ich dann überhaupt die Installation der Softwares "sichern"? Wenn ich eh alles neu installieren muss, brauche ich eigentlich kein Backup zu erstellen. Meine Daten sind ja auf dem NAS-Server bzw. fast alle und das, was nicht drauf ist, kann ich ja eben auf eine externe Festplatte schieben. Ach ja: Ich weiß, dass es totaler Mist war keine Backups zu erstellen. Ich hatte mit unserer IT schon darüber diskutiert. Leider bekomme ich mit meinem Linux-Rechner keinen Support, weil bei uns eigentlich nur mit Windowas gearbeitet wird- d.h. ich muss mir selber was überlegen. Und da ich 0 Ahnung habe und ersteinmal froh war, dass der Rechner überhaupt läuft, habe ich das blöderweise hinten angestellt. Mein Fehler und wenn ich könnte, würde ich mir selber in den Ar..beißen. Aber aus Fehlern lernt man 👍

Vielen Dank! es wird schon das richtige kopiert. Dauert noch einige Zeit, aber das, was ich bisher gesehen habe stimmt. ich kopiere aber gerade alles rueber. Also nicht nur HOME, sondern auch alle anderen Ordner wie bin, boot, cdrom, ev, etc usw. Habe die beiden Befehle eingegeben und folgendes erhalten 1
