Hallo, in meinem Ubuntu Mate 1804 wird der (USB) Scanner zwar erkannt (Simple Scan zeigt ihn an) - aber es efolgt keine Aktion. Gleiches bei xsane.
Es bewegt sich auch nichts am Scanner. Dem Benutzer hab ich die Permissions für den Scanner gegeben - schätze daran liegt es nicht.
Was kann das denn sein? lsusb zeigt u.a:

Der Scanner sollte jetzt normal Funktionieren,da die Werte gespeichert wurden /home/user/.sane/Canon_CanoScan_LiDE25 Füge dich noch zur Gruppe lp hinzu (Bei Scannern meistens erforderlich) sudo adduser $USER lp star schrieb:

Im Debug Modus Prüft der Treiber (libsane-plustek) das Gerät "genauer" um den Canon besser zu Justieren.

So ganz zuverlässig funktioniert das leider nicht. Und obwohl ich auch xsane und gscan2pdf installiert hab, so eine Art Profile mit verschiedenen Scangrößen anzulegen (9x13, 10x15, 7x7 farbe oder schwarzweiß) wie ich das von naps2 kenne, ist mir nicht gelungen. Wahrscheinlich geht das noch am ehesten über die gute alte Kommandozeile ...
Leider bekomme ich das naps2 auch unter wine nicht zum Laufen.

Nach dem Export hat der Scan genau einmal funktioniert. Schon nach der Umstellung auf 600dpi ging nix mehr - keine Aktion. Am Ende "scannt" er entweder ein schwarzes Bild (ohne dass ich was bewegt) oder macht nix. user@penny:~$ scanimage -A

Habe gerade herausgefunden dass es mit Kommandozeile besser geht:
scanimage --device-name=plustek --format=png -x 200 -y 100 -p --mode Gray > scan_1.png
scanimage --device-name=plustek --format=png -x 130 -y 100 -p --mode Color > scan_2.png Das mit der resolution hatte ich nicht gefunden! Was macht denn ein Preview bei der Kommandozeile für einen Sinn?
Bekomme ich noch ein Autoincrement im Dateinamen hin?
Leider kann ich im Simplescan keine Formate selbst angeben und auch: echo "-1" | sudo tee -a /sys/module/usbcore/parameters/autosuspend

Im Prinzip kann ich mit der Kommandozeile leben (Linux eben). Nur die Bild-Nummer sollte irgendwie hochgezählt werden, wenn man das Kommando noch mal aufruft. Sonst ist es nervig. Der Batchmode macht das soweit ich sehe, aber er gibt einen festen Takt vor und ist bei häufigen Größenänderungen 9x13, 10x15 nicht hilfreich.

Habe hier noch einen Lide20,der will auch nur "Ordentlich" mit den älteren Treibern (1.0.25 plustek) Arbeiten.Ist für das neue Jahr vielleicht ein Versuch wert 😉

Vielleicht hilft mir --batch-prompt . Hab den Scanner aber grad abgeräumt. Vielleicht schreib ich mir selbst mal so eine simple Auswahl Gui mit 3 oder 4 verschiedenen Formaten und Farbe/Monochom als Auswahl, mehr brauch ich nicht...

Da bist du mir ein Voraus ☺ Ich lege dir nochmal die /etc/sane.d/plustek.conf ans Herz.Dort kann man auch noch einige Optionen einstellen - damit lässt sich die GUI vielleicht weiter nutzen ☺

Ich ergänze mal selbst (für mich und spätere Suchen).
Leider klappt der Batch-Mode nicht. Wenn ich den Mode (insbesonder batch-prompt) drin hab passiert aus irgendeinem Grund dann gar nichts - nur die Anzeige kommt aber der Motor bewegt sich nicht.
Also manuell scannen - z.B: scanimage --device-name=plustek --format=tiff -x 210 -y 297 --resolution 150 -p --mode Gray > doc_1.tiff
...
scanimage --device-name=plustek --format=tiff -x 210 -y 297 --resolution 150 -p --mode Gray > doc_x.tiff
Tiffs zusammenfassen:
tiffcp doc*.tiff doc.tiff
und in pdf convertieren:
tiff2pdf -j -q 80 doc.tiff > doc.pdf
