Hallo zusammen,
nach viel suchen im Forum und lesen im Wiki hier nun doch mein Thema, weil ich es bis jetzt nicht geschafft habe.
Mein Flachbett-Scanner funktionierte nur bis Version 14.04 ootb. Die wird aber nun nur noch bis April 2019 mit Updates versorgt.
Schon ab 16.04 und inzwischen auch bei 18.04 wird der Scanner zwar erkannt (im Terminal und auch in Simple Scan), läuft da kurz los und bleibt aber dann sofort stehen.
Soweit ich beim Suchen verstanden habe, liegen die Treiber ab 16.04 eventuell woanders.
Alle gelesenen Themen bezogen sich aber auf Brother, Cannon oder Epson.
Auf Tips und Hilfe würde ich mich sehr freuen.

Hallo Kellerkind,
die hier jetzt laufende Version 18.04 habe ich extra heute noch mal neu installiert zum Ausprobieren. Also hier heute noch nichts geändert.
Vorher hatte ich mich schon mal den Gruppen lp und scanner hinzugefügt. Brachte aber nichts.

sudo adduser $USER scanner Neustart Dann Scannen Testen mit scanimage -T Wenn Scanner nicht anläuft mal export SANE_DEBUG_AVISION=255 && scanimage -L Zeige wieder die Terminal Ausgaben.

Hmm,sieht nicht so gut aus. scanimage: sane_start: Error during device I/O Sind immer schlechte Fehler.Wir Versuchen noch eines sudo apt install libusb-0.1-4 Dann erstellen wir eine Rules mit nano sudo nano /etc/udev/rules.d/59-udev-avision.rules Füge folgenden Inhalt ein ACTION!="add", GOTO="libsane_rules_end"

Hallo Kellerkind,
hab alles gemacht. libusb-0.1-4 installiert, Rules mit nano erstellt und gespeichert, die Datei 59-udev-avision.rules mit Dateimanager gesucht und den Inhalt überprüft, Scanner kurz von usb abgesteckt und wieder angesteckt. Anschluss ist USB2.
Leider scannt er immer noch nicht. ☹
Aber erst schon einmal vielen Dank für deine Hilfe. Ich hoffe nun auf Morgen. ☺

echo -e "option disable-calibration" | sudo tee -a /etc/sane.d/avision.conf Hast du das 14.04 System noch auf einem PC zum Testen? Kannst du einen defekt des Scanners ausschließen?

ja, der Scanner ist ok. Der läuft ja noch im Dual-Boot unter 14.04. ☺
