Ich hatte eine 2,5"-HDD mit 3 TB im Dauerbetrieb an meinem Cubietruck angeschlossen. Kurz vor Weihnachten berichtete meine Frau ein Piepen von dort zu hören (für mich war es nicht wahrnehmbar). Ich stellte mich aber auf einen Ausfall ein, der auch kurz vor dem Jahreswechsel eintrat. Alle Daten waren ordentlich gesichert - es geht mir in diesem Thema bloß um die richtige Erkennung des eigentlichen Problems.
Ich habe die Platte danach per externen Gehäuse an einen anderen Rechner angeschlossen und wollte erstmal die Daten versuchen davon zu kopieren. Dabei sagt mir LVM verschiedene Fehler:

Ich habe daraus gedeutet, dass die Berechnung der Festplattengröße irgendwie kaputt sein muss. Die folgenden Befehle lieferten statt 3 TB nur 700 GB:

Für mich sieht es derzeit so aus, als ob die Festplatte nach Außen nur noch 1565565872 heile Sektoren meldet, dabei aber völlig verschweigt, was mit den restlichen passiert ist. Müsste mir nicht irgendein Tool mitteilen, dass die Festplatte defekt ist?
