Hallo Ubuntu User, vielleicht kann mir jemand helfen, da ich hier nicht schlau werde. Hab zu meinem Thema hier im Forum auch schon einiges gelesen, aber wirklich schlau werde ich daraus nicht. Also ich versuche ein Brother Multi Gerät (MFC-7360N) über Netzwerk zu verbinden, schaffe es aber nicht. Das heißt der Drucker wird mir angezeigt, der Scanner nicht. Simple
Scan findet diesen nicht. Unter Einstellungen/Geräte, taucht der Reiter "Scanner" auch gar nicht auf. Ich habe von der Brother Support Seite bereits sämtliche Treiber runter
geladen und "sane-utils" installiert. Hab ich was übersehen? Vielen Dank für Eure Hilfe.

Am besten richtest du das Gerät erstmal über sein Menü in deinem WLAN ein. Ist das erfolgt? Dann benutzt du zum Installieren eines Brother am besten das Herstellerscript (driver install tool) und nicht die einzelnen Treiber. Das Script erledigt nämlich einen Teil der Konfiguration gleich mit.

Hallo Voxxell99, danke für deine Nachricht. Was du schreibst habe ich aber alles bereits erledigt, Gerät im WLAN eingerichtet, driver install tool installiert. Es taucht aber, wie schon beschrieben, im "Einstellungen/Geräte" Scanner immer noch nicht auf. (siehe screenshot im Anhang) lg

Hallo Jul, für die Multifunktionsgeräte muss unter Ubuntu i.d.R. 1. der Druckertreiber und 2. der richtige Scannertreiber installiert werden. Welchen Scannertreiber nutzt du denn? P.S. Dein Screenshot scheint zu fehlen. Grüße schollsky

Hi Ihr zwei, hat es den screenshot nicht übernommen? Moment ... ich hoffe jetzt ist er dabei. Den Scannertreiber habe ich von der Brother Support Seite. Für alle drei sollte

Hey, was meint ihr zu der Situation? Fällt euch dazu noch etwas ein? Ich habe zwischenzeitlich Simple Scan gelöscht
und neu installiert, eine Verbindung zu meinem Scanner kann es aber immer noch nicht aufbauen. Ich bin langsam mit meinem Latein am Ende ... Danke für euren Rat. Lg

nur mal so nebenbei, ohne jetzt die ganze Problematik durchgelesen zu haben - ich richte meinen Brother nach dieser Anleitung ein → funktioniert hier mit 18.04 problemlos mit 7 Rechnern und sollte entsprechend angepasst auch bei dir mit dem 7360N funktionieren. 😉
