Hallo Frieder Danke für deine Antwort und Input. Mein MFC-7360N hat eine feste IP und hängt am Router. Ich habe in den letzten Tagen schon die verschiedensten Befehle via Terminal zum installieren eingegeben, aber irgendwie läuft das immer noch nicht. Der Witz an der Sache ist, dass mein Mitbewohner, er verwendet auch Ubuntu 18.04 auf seinem Laptop, die Installation easy vornehmen konnte. Auch er hat sich gestern Abend lange damit beschäftigt das auch bei meinem Gerät zu machen. Allerdings nicht wirklich erfolgreich. Also mit Kabel kann ich scannen, über WLAN allerdings nicht. Meine Vermutung, da ich eben schon allerhand Befehle im Terminal eingegeben habe, vielleicht haben sich da so viele Befehle überlagert, dass sich das System "nicht mehr auskennt"? Kann das sein, oder ist das naiv von mir? Falls ja, gibt es eine Möglichkeit diese Befehle zurückzusetzen, oder muss ich Ubuntu neu aufsetzen? Was meinst du? Danke und Lg

Sicher das die IP 192.168.001.008 ist? 😬 brsaneconfig4 -p 192.168.001.008 brsaneconfig4 -p 192.168.001.8 ping -c4 192.168.001.8 ping -c4 192.168.001.008 Ob Wlan oder Lan ist für die vergabe der IP irrelevant 😇 (solange sie stimmt)

Hi Kellerkind, also die IP hab ich am Gerät selber über das Menü abgelesen. Warum? Erscheint sie dir komisch? Das mit mit den Nullen am Ende hab ich mir auch schon gedacht. Soll ich die weglassen? Nur bei 008, oder auch bei 001, also dann 8 oder 1? Andererseits, sollte das nicht egal sein? Lg

Gehe nochmal den Weg (link hat er ja dazugefügt) von Frieder108,die IP des Gerätes stimmt wohl nicht mit der vergebenen IP in Router überein. PING 192.168.001.8 (192.168.1.8) 56(84) bytes of data.

Hallo Jochen.Du Rufst dazu dein Konfigurationsprogramm des Routers im Browser auf und schaust nach welche IP zugewiesen wurde.Es bietet sich an die IP im Router fest für das Gerät zu Vergeben und nicht über Dhcp Automatisch zuweisen zu lassen.Dann wie im Link von Frieder108 weiter verfahren. Beachte das du die vergebene IP vom Router ins Brother Menü einträgst 😉 Gruß Stephan

Hallo Stephan und Frieder, danke für eure Hilfe. Hab es finally geschafft den Scanner zu installieren. Keine Ahnung was ich diesmal anders gemacht habe.
Die IP Adresse war übrigens dieselbe wie im Router und auch statisch. Vielleicht waren es die 0en, die ich diesmal weggelassen
habe. Also statt .001.008 habe ich diesmal .1.8 eingegeben, obwohl das eigentlich, soweit ich weiß, keine Rolle spielen sollte. Anyway... life ist strange and even stranger than life is the inner state of a Computer aka im nächsten Leben werde ich selbst

3 directories, 11 files @ Kellerkind_2009, mir geht es dabei eigentlich nur darum, ob mein Howto ausschließlich für mein Modell funktioniert oder ob es auch auf andere Geräte mit bspw. "brscan4" übertragbar ist → ggf. würde ich dann entsprechende Hinweise einbauen → wir wollen ja schließlich niemanden in die Irre führen. Deine Sicht der Dinge dazu würde mich interessieren.
