Hallo Ubuntu-Community, lese schon länger hier gerne hin und wieder mit und habe viel durchs Mitlesen über Linux gelernt. Seit etwa sechs Monaten versuche ich mein Blutzuckermessgerät Roche Accu Chek Guide mittels USB-Datenkabel zur Datenübertragung auf meinen Ubuntu-, bzw Linux Mint-Laptop zu überreden; leider bisher erfolglos.
Bei meinen Versuchen habe ich mich auf diese beiden Beiträge bezogen: https://forum.ubuntuusers.de/topic/blutzuckermessgeraet-auslesen/ https://forum.ubuntuusers.de/topic/blutzuckermessgeraete-free-style-libre-und-akk/ Entsprechend habe ich eine udev-Regel erstellt für das HID mit der Geräte- u Vendor-ID 21d5:173a und die Gruppenzugehörigkeit überprüft. Bin Mitglied der Gruppe plugdev, aber leider wird kein Gerät accuchek angezeigt. Habe dann die benötigten Downloads von GIT durchgeführt und auf meinen Laptop clonen lassen, danach den Fehler mit cd glucerometerutils habe ich nicht gemacht, sondern in das Verzeichnis glucometerutils installieren lassen. Beim Versuch das Shellscript ausführen zu lassen erhalte ich beim Befehl ./glucometer.py --driver accuchek die Meldung „No module named 'glucometerutils.drivers.accuchek'“. Habe dann die fslibre.py-Datei aus dem Verzeichnis glucometerutils/drivers mit der Vendor -und Geräte-ID angepasst und als 97-accuchek.rules in etc/udev gespeichert; leider auch erfolglos. An dieser Stelle stockt es für mich, und ich weiß nicht weiter. Bräuchte
a) Infos darüber, wie ich ggf eine py-Datei für das Accuchek erstelle. Könnte ich eine der anderen dateien als Vorlage nehmen und die Parameter entsprechend an die des Accuchek anpassen, oder ist das dennoch nicht zielführend?
b) Hilfe beim weiteren Vorgehen.
Möchte gerne die Werte auslesen und in eine csv-Datei schreiben lassen.

Laut https://github.com/Flameeyes/glucometerutils#supported-devices heißt der Treiber für Accu-Chek Mobile Geräte accuchek_reports und laut der Beschreibung im Treiber fungieren diese Geräte nicht als HID-Gerät, sondern lassen sich im Report-Mode als Datenträger mounten, auf dem laut dem nachfolgenden Code bereits CSV-Dateien abgelegt sind. Der Accu Chek Guide ist da nicht als kompatibles Produkt gelistet - kannst du mal mit sudo lsusb -vvv nachsehen, welche Endpunkte das Gerät anbietet?
Bräuchte a) Infos darüber, wie ich ggf eine py-Datei für das Accuchek erstelle.
Du musst erst einmal das Protokoll kennen, also herausfinden, was man dem Gerät schicken muss, damit es die Daten herausrückt und wie man diese Daten interpretieren kann - wenn der Hersteller dazu keine Informationen bereitstellt, bleibt einem da nur Reverse Engineering. Eine Möglichkeit wäre unter Windows den Datenverkehr der offiziellen Anwendung mit dem Gerät mitzuschneiden und herauszufinden, was da genau passiert, eventuell kommt man auch mit den Infos aus https://github.com/tidepool-org/chrome-uploader/tree/master/lib/drivers/roche weiter (wenn man mit Java Script zurecht kommt). Wenn man das geschafft hat, kann man sich überlegen, wie man das mit Python nachstellen kann.

Habe gemäß der reports-Datei das Verzeichnis "/mnt/ACCUCHEK" erstellt, im Gerät selbst die Datenübertragung aktiviert und erst danach die USB-Verbindung mit dem Laptop hergestellt. Im Display des BZ-Messgeräts erscheint zwar die Meldung "Daten werden übertragen", aber im Verzeichnis /mnt/ACCUCHEK wird nichts angezeigt. ls -l liefert "0".

Das Verzeichnis zu erstellen bringt nichts, wenn das Gerät nicht als Datenträger erkannt wird, den man dorthin mounten kann. Wenn ich das richtig sehe, hat das Gerät die Interface Klasse 15, d.h. der Hersteller kocht da für ein persönliches medizinisches Gerät sein eigenes Süppchen. Ich fürchte da bleiben nur die weiter oben beschriebenen Ansätze, wobei man vermutlich schneller voran kommt, wenn man den oben verlinkten Java Script Code für das Accu Chek Guide für den tide-pool.org Uploader als Basis nutzt, um das Auslesen der Daten und die Umwandlung in eine CSV-Datei zu implementieren - dazu müsstest du dich halt in Java Script und node.js einarbeiten. Ansonsten bleibt noch das Gerät in Verbindung mit einem Windows-Rechner bzw. eine Windows-VM zu nutzen, in der man eine kompatible Software zum Auslesen des Gerätes installiert und an die man das USB-Gerät durchreicht.

Hallo seahawk1986, danke für deine schnelle Antwort. Die Methode mit Windows und entsprechender Software funzt nur mit SW, die generell eine Registrierung beim Hersteller erfordert und die Datenübertragung über das Handy (und damit über den Mofu ins Netz) erfordert. Ich möchte Herr über meine Daten bleiben und das ist der Grund, weswegen ich von Windows Abstand nehme. Ein Einarbeiten in Java und node.js traue ich mir nicht zu. Bin inzwischen 60 Jahre und hatte vor einigen Jahren einen Burnout und bin froh, dass ich wieder so leistungsfähig bin, wie es momentan ist. Die Seite tide.org kannte ich nicht, werde mich mal dort einlesen. Abschließend hätte ich noch eine Frage: Es gibt viele unterschiedliche BZ-Messgeräte, nur für wenige übernehmen die Krankenkassen die Kosten für die Teststreifen.
Gibt es vielleicht hier im Forum eine Empfehlung für ein BZ-Messgerät mit Auslese- (Dateiformat unwichtig) oder USB-Speicher-Funktion, dessen Teststreifen durch die KK erstattet werden und das nicht sofort die Daten in alle Welt hinaus posaunt? ps: Hatte vorher ein Fine Pix Premium, dessen Verbindung über 3,5 mm Jack an USB weitergereicht wurde und das Auslesen in eine Excel-Tabelle war keinerlei Problem. Lief damals leider auch nur unter Windows mit proprietärer Software.

Nicht Java, sondern JavaScript - aber ja, das ist einiger Aufwand, den man dafür treiben müsste, wenn man damit noch nichts gemacht hat. Die Seite tide.org kannte ich nicht, werde mich mal dort einlesen.
Soweit ich das verstanden habe ist das ein Webservice für die Verwaltung von Blutzuckerdaten - also nichts, wenn man das nicht mit dem Rest der Welt teilen will - aber da der Quellcode für den Uploader unter einer freien Lizenz zur Verfügung steht, könnte man den mit einigem Aufwand für eigene Zwecke umfunktionieren.
Abschließend hätte ich noch eine Frage: Es gibt viele unterschiedliche BZ-Messgeräte, nur für wenige übernehmen die Krankenkassen die Kosten für die Teststreifen.

Es gibt auch noch alternative Software, die dein Gerät unterstützt, z.B. DIABASS - da zahlt man dann halt etwas für die (Windows-)Software, weil das ein eigenständiger Hersteller ist.

Hallo Seahawk1986, danke für deine Antworten und deine Hilfe. Egal welche, meine Gesundheitsdaten gehören nicht ins Netz, weshalb auch ein Service wie tidepool.org nicht in Frage kommt.
Wenn sich das Accuchek Guide eben nicht so ohne weiteres auslesen lässt, bleibe ich bei meinem alten Fine Test Premium und lese die Daten mittels Wine unter Linux aus. Da erhalte ich eine CSV-Datei, die ich unproblematisch in OO Calc importieren und danach weiter verarbeiten kann.
Habe mir somit ein neues Fine Test Premium bestellt, die Teststreifen werden von meiner KK übernommen. Die Software "Smartpix" allein reicht soweit ich es verstanden habe nicht aus, es ist dazu noch ein weiteres Gerät notwendig, welches um die 50 € kostet und bei welchem ich mir nicht sicher bin, dass meine Daten nicht sehr indiskret mit Roche geteilt werden, das ist etwas, was ich nicht möchte. In die Java-Script-Datei habe ich mal einen Blick geworfen, aber leider verstehe ich da zu viel nicht und es fällt mir auch sehr schwer mich weiter einzuarbeiten. Somit bleibt die Lösung mit dem alten Fine Test Premium, die ich über Jahre genutzt habe, mit einem neuen BZ-Messgerät weiter fortzuführen als attraktivste und komfortabelste Möglichkeit. Ich wüsste nicht, warum man bei einem USB-Gerät noch einen zusätzlichen Zwischenadapter benötigen sollte, eigentlich sollte das nur für ältere Geräte mit Infrarot-Schnittstelle nötig sein, weil Irda-Schnittstellen an PCs mittlerweile so gut wie ausgestorben sind. Und Windows-VMs kann man gezielt vom Netz fern halten, wenn man Bedenken hat, dass da jemand nach Hause telefoniert.

Leider ist es aber mit der Software Smartpix so, dass zum Auslesen tatsächlich noch ein Datenauslesegerät benötigt wird. Unter https://www.accu-chek.de/produkte/de/datenmanagement/smartpix_software/index.jsp lässt sich etwas mehr zum Verfahren finden:

Warum das so ist - ich weiß es nicht, vermute aber, dass dies Gerät noch etwas mehr kann, als nur die Daten auszulesen und in die Smartpix-SW einzutragen. Dein Tipp mit Windows in einer virtuellen Maschine ohne Netzwerkzugriff trifft für mich genau den Nagel auf den Kopf. Da wäre sogar die Nutzung eines unsupporteten Windows (Win XP, Win 7 usw) gefahrlos möglich. Daran hatte ich überhaupt noch nicht gedacht.

Ich hatte das so verstanden, dass das Accu-Check Smart Pix die Software auf einem internen USB-Speicher bereitstellt, aber dass man die auch so unter Windows nutzen kann. Warum man für USB-Geräte noch Spezialhardware dazwischen benötigen sollte, verstehe ich auch nicht - wenn du eh eine VM aufsetzt, würde ich das einfach mal probieren, ob das mit einem direkt angeschlossenen BZ-Messgerät funktioniert.

Bayer hat eine Software die in Java geschrieben ist.
Die habe ich sogar mal unter Linux zum laufen bekommen.
Frag dochmal in deiner Diabetes Praxis ob die noch ein Bayer Gerät für dich haben.
