Ich teste zurzeit auf einem alten Macbook-Air verschiedene Live-USB-Sticks aus. Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Lubuntu, Linux MX usw. Das Ziel ist das Ausprobieren der verschiedenen Distributionen und die eventuelle Installation von Ubuntu oder Linux Mint auf dem alten Macbook-Air. Linux Mint als Live-System läuft flūssig und ohne Probleme. Ubuntu hingegen reagiert nur verzögert. Das könnte auch am Stick liegen. Bei einer Installation auf der Festplatte sieht das Ganze von der Geschwindigkeit her eventuell anders aus. Mit dem Befehl lshw -short bekomme ich dieses Resultat.

Sehe ich das richtig. Das Gerät hat eine 121 GB SSD Festplatte und 4 GB Ram aber keine HDD Festplatte? Kann man ein Ubuntu oder Linux Mint auf einer SSD Festplatte installieren? Und reicht so eine kleine Festplatte um das System flūssig laufen zu lassen, und muss man z.B. gespeicherte Filme einfach mangels Platz auf einer externen Festplatte speichern?
