Hallo alleseits, hoffentlich kann mir jemand beim Troubleshooting helfen. Seit heute morgen kann mein KMail (5.11.3) keine Mails mehr bei Posteo via IMAP abrufen. Ich habe alternativ mal einen neuen Nutzer angelegt und dort KMail neu eingerichtet, gleiches Problem, ebenso bei einem vom Stick gebooteten Kubuntu 20.04. Der Zugriff will einfach nicht klappen. Andere Mailprogramme (Trojita, Tunderbird) funktionieren mit Posteo, meinen T-Online-Mailaccount kann ich wiederum mit KMail abrufen. Es scheint also etwas im Zusammenspiel von Posteo und KMail zu sein. Aber wie kriege ich raus, woran es genau liegt? Hat da jemand eine Idee? Grüße, madelgijs

Moin, das Problem hatte ich auch mal, zur Zeit aber nicht mehr. Kann sein, dass ich damals die Settings für den Account unter Receiving geändert habe:

Danke für den Tipp. Leider hat's das nicht gebracht. Gibt's denn irgendeinen Weg, genauer zu sehen, was da in der Kommunikation zwischen kMail und dem IMAP-Server passiert?

Du kannst in akonadiconsole schauen, ob du was findest. Das Tool ist aber von und für die Akonadi-Entwickler geschrieben und dementsprechend unübersichtlich. Dokumentation ist ebenfalls eher rar. Du kannst einen Netzwerksniffer wie tcpdump/wireshark nutzen, allerdings ist ein Großteil des Verkehrs verschlüsselt. In die Konsole habe ich auch schon einen Blick geworfen, aber daraus schlau zu werden, ist nicht einfach... Inzwischen zeichnet sich auch ab, dass das Problem irgendwie von größerer Art. Ist. Ich habe diverse Live-Distros mit unterschiedlichen KDE-Versionen getestet, die somit ja auch eine unterschiedlich "frische" Softwarebasis haben. Das Problem ist immer da, egal ob es ein aktuelles KDE neon oder ein eher veraltetes OpenSUSE Leap ist. Zudem scheint das Problem irgendwie generell beim Verbindungsaufbau zum Server zu liegen. Ich kann auch keine DAV-Resourcen mehr hinzufügen (Nextcloud oder fruux). Daraufhin habe ich mal die Filter-Funktion meiner pi-hole-Installation (die bisher keinerlei Probleme verursacht hat) pausiert. Das ändert aber auch nichts. Könnte der "zwischengeschaltete" Pi in Problem sein? Ich habe zudem mal abgegriffen, was akonadictl nach einem restart ausgibt. Kann damit jem. was anfangen? christoph@phoenix:~$ akonadictl start

Inzwischen wir das Phänomen zunehmend mysteriös. Gestern lief KMail auf einmal einwandfrei. Ich konnte problemlos auf mein Mail-Konto zugreifen, Kalender und Adressbuch wieder einrichten - alles lief wunderbar. Als ich nun heute morgen den Rechner wieder hochgefahren habe, ging wieder nichts. KMail geht nach kurzer Zeit offline und ruft keine Mails mehr ab... Thunderbird läuft parallel völlig klaglos.
Kann sich jemand darauf einen Reim machen?

Ich habe so ein ähnliches Problem mit Kubuntu 18.04 und web.de und konnte es nie lösen. Das ist jetzt natürlich nicht hilfreich aber wollte dir die Information nicht vorenthalten. 😉 Gruß Cruiz

Immerhin ein kleiner Trost. War es bei Dir auch so, dass es anfänglich funktionierte - und dann plötzlich nicht mehr?

Danke. Die passende Einstellung hatte ich auch - es lief bei mir ja über Monate problemlos.
Aktuell klappt der E-Mail-Abruf bei mir auch wieder. Möglicher (!) Grund: Ich habe mein pi-hole-System rausgenommen und die IPv4- und IPv6-Einstellungen der Fritz!Box zurückgesetzt. Vielleicht hat sich KMail an dieser zusätzlichen "Vermittlungsstelle" gestört?

Ein kleiner Nachtrag: An pi-hole lag's auch nicht. Es hab trotzdem immer wieder mal spontane Aussetzer von KMail, ohne dass ich eine genaue Ursache erkennen kann. Wenn das Interface von Thunderbird nur nicht so altbacken wäre...
