Hello,
I have a bind9 server running on ubuntu 20.04 lts in my LAN and want it to always let it deliver local zone data first to my clients before bind9 should start to ask it's forwarders. purpose is to override my public domain or subdomain to let the client retrieve always local zone data first. when querying google I found a statement that bind9 servers do what I want by default. well my bind9 server doesn't and I don't know why.
named.conf.options:
options { directory "/var/cache/bind"; dnssec-validation auto; listen-on-v6 { any; }; forwarders { 192.168.1.1; }; }; }} the purpose of all this is to enable the web browsers on my client computers to access local (apache2) websites on the same ubuntu server where bind9 is installed with external (dynamic) dns names directly on my LAN only, avoiding to have to write them all into the ubuntu hosts file. regards, Stefan [edit=sebix] Bitte verwende in Zukunft [:Forum/Syntax#Syntaxelemente:Codeblöcke], um die Übersicht im Forum zu verbessern!
