Hallo alle zusammen, hier hat schon lange keiner mehr Fragen gestellt. Weil ich mir nicht anders
helfen kann hier meine Frage an alle.
Ich musste Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS neu aufsetzen wegen Totalausfall und kann nun nicht mehr von
Ubuntu aus auf meine Windows 10 Geräte mit Ordner etc. zugreifen.
Irgendwas wurde in der smb.conf so verändert, dass kein Zugriff mehr möglich ist. Mit Gruss amles2 hier meine smb.conf: #

Ist das wirklich deine smb.conf? workgroup = WORKGROUP
WORKGROUP = Mecke1945
Prüfe mal, ob die Syntax richtig ist:
Darüber hinaus:
Du willst doch auf einen Share zugreifen. D.h. du stellst selber keine Shares bereit. Wie greifst du denn drauf zu? Mit gvfs oder mount.cifs?

Hallo chr123,
mit deinen Fragen kann ich nichts anfangen, da bin ich zu schwach mit Ubuntu. Das Ergebmis von "testparm -s siehe hier. Die Zeile WORKGROUP = Mecke1945 " habe ich in die smb.conf eigefügt, hat aber nichts gebracht.

Ich gehe davon aus, dass bei dir einfach das Problem besteht, dass in Ubuntu standardmäßig nicht mehr das alte cifs Protokoll Version 1 verwendet wird und du daher nicht mehr die Freigaben der anderen Windows Rechner siehst. Korrigiere erstmal deine aktuelle smb.conf, da sind syntaktische Fehler und dein netbios Name ist zu lang:
ERROR: both 'wins support = true' and 'wins server = <server list>' cannot be set in the smb.conf file. nmbd will abort with this setting.
WARNING: The 'netbios name' is too long (max. 15 chars).
Normalerweise sollte es reichen, wenn du "wins support" auf no setzt und einen alternativen netbios Namen vorgibst:

netbios name = DEIN-RECHNER

Darüber hinaus: ändere mal das Protokoll auf Version 1:
| client max protocol = NT1
|
Anschließend smb.conf speichern und Kontrollausgabe hier im Forum zeigen:
| testparm -vs | egrep 'protocol|wins|netbios'
|
Wenn syntaktisch keine Fehler ausgewiesen werden, dann einmal neustarten und schauen ob die Windows Freigaben jetzt sichtbar sind. Falls nicht, bist du evtl. in der falschen WORKGROUP.

Die Terminaleingaben per Copy and Paste in das Terminal übertragen, um Fehler auszuschließen. Deine smb.conf hat jetzt übrigens wieder eine Dopplung, die auch syntaktisch falsch ist:
netbios name = schneider desktop
netbios name = schneider - pc Einen Eintrag davon löschen und einen gültigen Netbios Namen setzen:
netbios name = SCHNEIDER-PC

Syntaktische Fehler werden nicht mehr angezeigt. Von daher passt deine smb.conf ☺

Hallo chr123, ich hoffe, dass ich hier nicht falsch mit meinem erneuten Problem bin und schreibe Dir, weil Du mir vor einem Jahr
schonmal geholfen hast.
Also nach Updat von Ubuntu 18.4... auf Ubuntu 20.4.., habe ich keinen Zugriff mehr auf meinen Windows10 Laptop und die
externe HIMEDIA Netzwerk-Festplatte, letztere ist per LAN über Powerline verbunden. Von meinem Desktop PC (Win 10) habe ich
per wlan auf einen Laptop und auch auf die HIMEDIA Festplatte Zugriff.
Ein paar Änderungen in der smb.conf habe ich aufgrund der Hinweise im WIKI vorgenommen --aber keine Lösung gefunden.
hier mal eine Terminalausdruck von testparm -s
