Du kannst → Grub 2 aus deinem laufenden System neu installieren. Sieh mal hier → GRUB 2/Reparatur (Abschnitt „GRUB-2-vollstaendig-neu-installieren“). Poste mal die Ausgabe von sudo fdisk -l , damit man deine Partitionen sieht.

Grub2 neuinstallation auch ohne Erfolg. Wenn ich ESC drücke, wird GRUB verlassen oder? Zumindest kann ich dann nicht mehr "blind" auf Ubuntu gehen und booten. Muss dann STRAG+ALT+Entf drücken und warten, dass er neu bootet. 1

Hallo uprising1985, Poste bitte Hersteller, Typ und Bezeichnung des Rechners ... Grub2 gehört in die EFI Partition also sda1. Kannst du aus dem EFI Menue / Startmenue EFI das Ubuntu starten ? Gruss Lidux

Es ist ein DELL Inspiron 15, 7000er Serie. Ich kann generell zwischen Ubuntu und Windows wählen (Boot menü von Dell, wenn F12 gedrückt wird).
Das Grub ist scheinbar da und funktioniert auch, wie gewollt. Ich sehe nur nichts 😀

Das wird's auch sein. Dell bindet seine diskreten GPUs recht speziell an. Es sind modellabhängig tatsächlich steckbare Karten (im Normalfall, also bei anderen Herstellern, sind solche GPUs auf dem Mainboard aufgelötet). Das Dell Inspiron 15 7000 hat neben dem Intel IGP eine Nvidia GF GTX1060. Es würde mich nicht wundern, wenn die Umschaltung an der Stelle (Framebuffer) nicht wie üblich funktioniert und man eben schwarz sieht. Vielleicht kann man mit bestimmten Bootoptionen daran etwas ändern.

Und hier sehe ich das Problem, diese Farbvariante wurde offensichtlich nie geändert, IMHO besteht sie weiter, auch wenn die neue /etc/default/grub gespeichert wurde. Zeige bitte einmal Deine less /boot/grub/grub.cfg

Und wenn ich das richtig lese (von derartigen script Verkrüppelungen halte ich überhaupt nichts), heißt das nicht "export", sondern "set"! Vllt findet ihr ja noch was. Ansonsten würde ich dann nochmal eine vollständige Neuinstallation versuchen.

Moin Moin, sieht für mich OK aus. Andere Frage, (ich habe Dich hoffentlich richtig verstanden) wenn Du blind aus dem unsichbaren GRUB ⇒ Ubuntu wählen kannst, kannst Du auch blind auf die erweiterten Optionen kommen ein Schritt unter Ubuntu? Was passiert jetzt? Gruß
