Liebe Gemeinde, wenn ich ein Dokument mehrfach drucken will, kommt immer nur ein Exemplar aus dem Drucker. Ich habe einen Brother MFC-L8690CDW. Das ist so, wenn ich den Standard-Dokumentenbetrachter nehme, wie auch aus Okular oder anderen Programmen heraus. Ich muss, wenn ich ein Dokument mehrfach gedruckt haben will, immer wieder erneut abschicken. Ich habe die originalen Treiber installiert: https://www.brother.de/support/mfc-l8690cdw/downloads Kann mir jemand verraten, wie ich das beheben kann? Danke und viele Grüße

per LAN an gleichem Router per WLAN an gleichem Router per WIFI-Direkt an UBU-PC per USB an UBU-PC
Bitte unbedingt beantworten. Falls per USB, kann Folgendes helfen:
sudo apt purge ippusb
sudo apt install libusb-0.1-4 Reboot (Ubu) und erneut testen. Falls es danach nicht funktioniert, warte auf Kellerkind_2009 oder von.wert - die Beiden sind hier die "USB-Drucker-Spezies". 😉

Danke schon mal für die Antwort! Der Rechner und der Drucker sind per LAN an gleichem Router verbunden. Ich hatte zuvor ein älteres System auf dem Rechner (18.04 LTS) und da konnte ich problemlos mehrere Seiten drucken. Ich habe vor wenigen Monaten 20.04 LTS installiert und entsprechend den Druckertreiber und nun geht es nicht mehr, mehrere Seiten auf einmal zu drucken...?!

Zeige mal (und lasse dir nicht zu viel Zeit dabei) die Ausgaben von dpkg -l | egrep 'ippusbxd|libusb-0.1-4|system-config-printer-udev|Brother' brsaneconfig4 -d Nachtrag Dann eben nicht 😉 Bin hier raus.

Liebe Gemeinde, ich hatte tatsächlich nicht direkt nach meiner Frage in den Post geschaut. Als ich wenige Tage später reingeschaut habe, kam das "Dann eben nicht 😉 Bin hier raus." von Kellerkind_2009. Ich war etwas gefrustet und hatte mich vorerst damit abgefunden, immer nur ein Exemplar drucken zu können. Aber ich musste feststellen, dass das auf die Dauer extrem nervig ist. Bei einem Dokument, welches ich 30 x drucken möchte, 30 x das Druckmenü aufzurufen und "OK" zu drücken kostet schon enorm viel Zeit. Ubuntus ippusb-Probleme sind wahrlich schon lange bekannt, da braucht man nicht erst übervorsichtig abfragen. Ausführen: | sudo apt purge ipp*usb* && sudo apt install libusb-0.1-4

(libusb-0.1-4 ist bei Dir installiert, ich schreibe das aber komplett - es wird oft genug gefragt, vielleicht liest es doch hin und wieder einer vorher.) Du hättest auch einfach nur das durchführen brauchen, was Bournless schon in der ersten Antwort geschrieben hat. Man kann auch erwarten, daß Du Dir nicht fast einen Monat lang Zeit läßt, dann nochmal Tage, obwohl Du auf diesen Mißstand von Kellerkind_2009 hingewiesen worden bist, nun noch mal sage und schreibe ein halbes Jahr, Dich um Dein Problem zu kümmern, wenn Du hier um Hilfe bittest.

Habe ich ausgeführt. Das Problem bleibt bestehen: Ich wähle ich Druckmenü eine Anzahl > 1 aus, aber es wird immer nur eine Seite ausgedruckt. Mein Drucker ist übrigens nicht per USB angeschlossen, sondern im Netzwerk. Bournless hatte in seinem ersten Post geschrieben „Falls per USB, kann Folgendes helfen“ ... Danke und viele Grüße, André

Ich musste erst mal eine ganze Weile suchen, wie ich das umstelle. Hab dann aber ein Menü gefunden und es getan. Hier die Ausgabe, die zeigt (zeigen sollte), dass die Umstellung erfolgreich war.

</DefaultPrinter> So, und dann druckt der Drucker leider gar nicht mehr. Weder mit dem von Dir angegebenen Befehl noch aus irgendeinem Druckmenü heraus...?! Auf dem Drucker verharrt jetzt eine Meldung „Restdaten im Speicher“.

Ungewöhnlich. Was zeigt das Log? tail -n 150 /var/log/cups/error_log Den Drucker mal neu starten.
