Hallo Experten,
unter Xenial Xerus hatte ich einen Epson Perfection 2480 Photo benutzt und über Xsane schön scannen können. Nach dem upgraden auf Focal Fossa funktioniert es nicht mehr.
Fehler beim Öffnen des Geräts 'snapscan:libusb:001:004': Ungültiges Argument
Habe als erstes bemerkt, dass ich den Treiber neu installieren musste:
/usr/share/sane/xsane/Esfw41.bin
Habe den Treiber in die snapscan.conf geschrieben:

und scanimage -L wenig verwunderlich:
No scanners were identified. If you were expecting something different, check that the scanner is plugged in, turned on and detected by the sane-find-scanner tool (if appropriate). Please read the documentation which came with this software (README, FAQ, manpages).
Ich habe beide auf dem Rechner vorhandenen User in die Gruppe SCANNER aufgenommen mit:
sudo usermod -a -G scanner BENUTZERNAME
Nun weiß ich nicht mehr weiter, weil ich ein kleiner DAU bin.
