ipp-usb ist ein Userspace-Treiber für USB-Geräte (Drucker, Scanner, MFC),
der das Protokoll IPP-über-USB unterstützt. Dadurch können diese USB-
Geräte als normale Netzwerkdrucker angesehen werden.

Er ist als Ersatz für den zuvor für diesen Zweck verwendeten Daemon
ippusbxd konzipiert. Im Vergleich zu ippusbxd hat er eine stark
überarbeitete Architektur und behebt alle wichtigen Mängel und Probleme.
