Erstmal muss ich mich entschuldigen, weil ich die ganze Zeit mit einem anderen WLAN Adapter arbeite, als es im Titel steht. Hier hatte ich mich auf die Ausgabe von lsusb verlassen:

Allerdings hängt physikalisch am Rechner ein TL-WN822N v2. Ich habe die Ausgabe von lsusb noch mal geprüft, er zeigt nach wie vor das Modell im Titel. ?!? Ich hoffe jetzt da gibt es kein Problem weil ich verschiedene Adapter hier schon mal ausprobiert habe, denn ich habe ja tatsächlich auch einen TL-WN821N v3 😕
Beide Adapter arbeiten aber mit denselben Chips AR7010 und AR9287 und entsprechend mit demselben Treiber ath9k_htc, deswegen kann ich mir gut vorstellen, dass der Treiber die Hardware gar nicht auseinanderhalten kann.
Bisher habe ich keine Informationen finden können, ob es möglich ist, dass bei meiner Konfiguration die MIMO Funktionen nicht greifen und deswegen nur ein Stream zur Verfügung steht. Die effektiv gemessenen Transferraten bleiben 50% hinter den Erwartungen zurück. Könnte aber auch an den Rahmenbedingungen hängen (Störungen, Wände, etc.). Ich bleibe am Ball.
Nachtrag zum Netgear WN111v2 Adapter am selben Router mit carl9170 Treiber:
Auch hier konnte ich mit etwas Geduld die Leistung auf bis zu 50 MBit steigern. Leider gibt es immer wieder Verbindungsabbrüche (Reason: 3 und Reason: 7) und der Datendurchsatz bricht zusammen. Bei schlechtem Datendurchsatz fallen immer sehr hohe Werte (Tausende) für Tx excessive retries: und Invalid misc: (iwconfig) auf.
Ich habe die Sendeleistung mit folgenden Einträge in der /etc/rc.local Regel jetzt auf 15 dBm gedrosselt und die Stromsparfunktion abgeschaltet. Die Hardwareverschlüsselung ist ebenfalls abgeschaltet. Die "Reason: 3" Abbrüche scheinen damit Geschichte zu sein.
