Als ich heute Kubuntu runtergefahren habe, hatte bis dahin alles funktioniert und ich hatte an der Konfiguration nichts verändert. Und beim runtetfahren kam auch keine Meldung. Nun habe ich den Rechner wieder gestartet - keine Fehlermeldungen oder sonstige Ungewöhnlichkeiten. Als ich dann die Konsole gestartet habe, kam sofort diese Ausgabe (der Prompt ist erst am Ende): 1

Die /etc/crontab ist seit 2015 unverändert. /var/crash/./.lock kann ich nicht finden, es gibt aber -rwxrwxrwx 1 root whoopsie 0 Jan 7 11:24 .lock /var/lib/logrotate/status.tmp kann ich auch nicht finden, es gibt nur drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Jan 7 11:22 .

-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1599 Jan 7 11:22 status An den Rechten für /etc/cron.daily/passwd kann ich nichts finden: -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 249 Feb 17 2014 passwd Ein release-upgrade auf 18.04 habe ich nicht angestossen. Das Problem ist reproduzierbar und wenn ich eine virtuelle Konsole starte, passiert nach dem Login das gleiche.
Irgendwas scheint nicht aufgeräumt werden zu können, als wäre was beim shutdown schief gegangen. Was? 😲 Und wie kann ich es reparieren?

Früher wurden Änderungen in crontab erst übernommen, wenn man cron gestoppt und neu gestartet hat aber das ist wohl jetzt nicht mehr so, oder?

Lass mal die crontab beiseite. Wenn Du ein Terminal startest, wird nix aus der crontab ausgeführt. Es sei denn, Du hättest irgendwo in /etc/profile o.ä. selber einen Aufruf der crontab als Skript eingebaut - was aber überhaupt keinen Sinn ergeben würde. Oder aver Du hast irgendwo einen Aufruf der cron.daily in Deine Initialisierungsdateien - /etc oder Home - eingebaut. Wenn die interaktive Shell in Deinem Terminal startet, dann liest sie Initialisierungsdateien aus /etc und aus Deinem Home. Welche das sind, hängt von Deiner Shell ab. All das hat null mit der crontab zu tun.

Irgendwie sieht Dein Log nicht gesund aus, ohne, dass ich genau sagen könnte, warum. Seltsam ist die Häufung von "Primary output changed from KScreen::Output". Das log scheint auch mittendrin anzufangen. Vielleicht sollte man noch mal konkret den aktuellen Boot anschauen (Ausgabe von journalctl -b -0 - oder gibt es das in 16.04 noch nicht?).
