Hallo Ubuntuusers!
Ich möchte gerne meinen zweiten Rechner parallel mit Ubuntu 14.04 im Dualboot installieren. Aktuell ist auf dem Rechner nur ein Win 7 prof. installiert.
PC Infos: 64 bit AMD Phenom II X 4 955 CPU 3200 MHz, 4 GB Ram, Motherboard Gigabyte GA-870-A-UD3, 1 Corsair 120 GB SSD, 3 HDD´s
Das Mainboard hat noch ein altes BIOS.
Ich habe in diesem PC schon 4 Festplatten verbaut!
1. SSD 120 GB (Win.7prof.)
2. HDD 2 TB (Daten)
3. HDD 1 TB (Daten)
4.HDD 1 TB (leer)
Das Ubuntu soll mit auf die SSD kommen. Folgende Verzeichnisse von Ubuntu, möchte ich auf die 4. HDD installieren:
/swap
/var
/usr
/home
Für die Installation würde ich zur Vorsicht die HDD 2. und 3. abklemmen.
Nun zu meiner Frage: Werden nach der Ubuntu Installation auf die SSD Platte auch alle anderen Platten (2 und 3) erkannt, wenn ich sie dann wieder per Kabel anschließe? Es sind ja dann eigentlich nach der Partitionierung der SSD, 5 primäre Partitionen im System vorhanden. Oder sehe ich da etwas falsch?
So weit ich weiß, kann ein BIOS doch nur 4 primäre Platten verwalten?! Alle Festplatten sind momentan als primäre Partitionen angelegt.
Ich weiß, dass ich vor der Partitionierung der SSD erst defragmentieren muss. Auch über die Größe der Verzeichnisse habe ich mir bereits Gedanken gemacht und alles notiert.
Eine Datensicherung habe ich tagesaktuell schon gemacht.
Wie gehe ich jetzt am sinnvollsten vor?
