Ich hab den thread noch mal auf "ungelöst" gesetzt:
Nach Update (hier: Ubuntu!) auf 15.04 läßt sich Blockify nicht starten. In Kubuntu 15.04 geht es, in Elementary OS Freya auch.

Es hat irgendwie mit "amixer" zu tun, abgesehen von:
No handlers could be found for logger "util"
Hat jemand Ideen dazu? Der Autor hat auf seiner Seite comments geschlossen. Leider kann ich dort nicht fragen.
