Ich habe tatsächlich keine derartige Anfrage gehabt. Ich habe das System mit autoremove aufgeräumt und Upgrade nochmal ausgeführt.

Leider keine Änderung. Ich kann Kernel 7.0xxx nicht starten.

Nun denn, die offiziellen Ubuntu-Paketquellen sind vorhanden (und leider auch der 32-bit-Kram - den brauchst Du?)

Installiere doch einfach den Liquorix-Kernel:

sudo apt-add-repository ppa:damentz/liquorix
sudo apt install linux-headers-liquorix-amd64 linux-image-liquorix-amd64

Damit hast Du auch einen aktuellen Kernel 7.2, keinen upstream seit Monaten toten 7.0 (und da sieht man auch in diesem Thread wieder, daß es Canonical einfach nicht draufhat).

Danke für euren Support. Ich habe herausgefunden, dass hier nur ein Hardware Update auf eine kompatible Grafikkarte hilft. Ich markiere den Thread als gelöst.

Und warum testest du nicht erstmal den Liquorix Kernel wie die bereits empfohlen wurde?
