Ich habe mehrmals die Anleitungen im Forum durchprobiert sowohl die generelle Anleitung, als auch eine weitere für Ubuntu 14.04 und auch die englische Brotherseite:

Die Treiber sind alle installiert, ich kann den Drucker auch finden und konfigurieren. Er ist über Wifi angeschlossen. Ich habe da auch mehrere Verbindungsarten probiert, habe da aber noch keinen richtigen Überblick.
Weiterhin wurde ich um etwas Code im Terminal gebeten:
