Hallo Ubuntu Users Forum,
ich versuche nun seit 3 Tagen meinen Brother DCP 195-C auf Ubuntu 20.04 einzurichten. Ich möchte anmerken, dass ich noch recht neu in Der Linux Welt bin. Bei dem System handelt es sich um eine Proxmox VM mit durchgeleiteten Usb-Hub.
Ich habe den Drucker mit dem "Driver Install Tool 2.2.2-1" von brother installiert. Das Drucken funktioniert ohne Probleme. Lediglich der Scanner wurde nicht erkannt.
Ich habe deshalb die Anleitung: https://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/Scanner/Brother/ nach Punkt: "Variante 55-libsane.rules bzw 60-libsane.rules" und "Alternativ für 64-bit" befolgt.
Danach wurde der Scanner in Simple-Scan erkannt. Da der Drucker aber an einer VM hängt, muss ich mich aber für jeden Scan per Remotedesktop einwählen. (eigentlich kein großes Problem, aber erklärt das mal der Freundin).
Deshalb wollte ich das "Scankey-Tool" nutzen, sodass ich per Knopfdruck in ein Samba Share scannen kann. Dabei fiel mir auf, dass die Funktion "scanimage" defekt zu seinen scheint. und seit diesen Punkt hänge ich fest.
